Every time I see the opening scene of DareDevil, and see him lose his sight, I remember it’s also the exact moment the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles got their powers too. They were Matt’s pet turtles before they became Splinters beloved sons, and the cities heroes in a half shell.

Not even close, lol. I'm a huge fan of this show, and it's the best comic book show, but it's nowhere near the greatest TV show of all time. I can name more than 15 shows with better ratings by both critics and audience, with way more Emmy nominations and wins, so yeah, no, go watch more content. This show has flaws, especially in the storytelling in S2, which is the weakest of the three seasons, the other two are amazing, but the second season's writing with The Hand and Elektra isn't that great, it takes points off the show, and S3, even though it's the best one and it's amazing, depends a lot on Defenders, it's not stand alone, if you don't watch Defenders, you miss so much context for the character, and his character arc, also taking away points from the show. Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad, Succession, Sherlock, Hannibal, Mr. Robot, Dark, The Bear, Barry, True Detective S1, Fargo S1 and S2, Sopranos, The Wire, Mad Men, Arcane, Severance, Shogun, Avatar the Last Airbender (animated), Peaky Blinders, Chernobyl, Fleabag, Ted Lasso, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Atlanta, House of Cards, The Crown, MindHunter, Mr. Inbetween, Boardwalk Empire, Yellowstone, Hill House, Sons of Anarchy, The Expanse, and many many more, are better than Daredevil. Overall, DD is the best comic book show, but I'll go as far as saying that The Penguin has the best single first season of any comic book show, but yeah, overall, DD having two more seasons puts it ahead as the best comic book show, but Invincible Comic is one of the best, and when the show's done with 7-8 seasons, it's going to be the best superhero show, and it's not going to be close.

I started watching this show after loving She-Hulk, and then also got into Luke Cage and Punisher. I'm very glad they've been given a chance to continue, and hope they do the same with Luke. And glad they went back to the drawing board to make the new show more like this one. Though if they had to retcon anything...I'd want it to be Wesley. His character was played phenomenally in this and I'd love to have him back. And shout out to John Paesano's fantastic score. I listen to it every time I read DD comics (and his Spider-Man game scores when I read those books).

Look, I love Daredevil, but I have to contest the video description. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was the show that started it all, in 2013; Daredevil began 2 years later! If neither of you have seen S.H.I.E.L.D. then I highly recommend you do so. It's probably much too long to do for reactions with all the stuff coming out right now, but for your own sakes, watch the show on your own time. It's genuinely in my top 5 TV shows of all time.

The first season was everything we have been asking for from a show. Not just a super hero show. A show. The 2nd seasons delivers on a lot of why the fans asked for. The 3rd season is a masterpiece. It can be compared to any of the greatest seasons of television and not look out of place beside something like sapranos, got season 1-4. Breaking bad etc.

One of Daredevil's superpowers that Charlie Cox demonstrates but nothing is ever said about is his uncanny ability to take a beating (stabbing, shooting, etc.) and keep getting back up.

4:50 that's what happens when you hand one of Stan's best characters over to peak Frank Miller. Matt's catholicism and guilt-ridden contradictions really flourished under Frank's watch. He also got Stick and Elektra and Bullseye, and it got truly unhinged all under Frank Millers untender ministrations. Whatever else Miller became over time, which has been many things, the way he evolved Daredevil is almost unmatched in my eyes. In my opinion, reformed Catholicism with a healthy dose of bitters should be a prerequisite for writing Daredevil. As good as some of the more recent stuff was, Guardian Devil (Kevin Smith, actually. Yes, that Kevin Smith) carries a lot of that same post-Catholic baggage. Now, my post-Cathol bias is clearly showing, but nonethless.

I watched all of the Netflix shows again within the last year, and I actually found myself REALLY enjoying Iron Fist the second time watching it. I think I liked it to begin with, but knowing most people didn't like it (and they didn't give Finn Jones anywhere NEAR enough time to learn the choreography, resulting in Taken 3 level fight scene editing), the show was pretty damn good overall. And I'm talking specifically about season 1 here. I think people generally like season 2 a lot more than the first season. Honestly, the only show I don't really like all that much upon rewatch is Defenders. So I'm really looking forward to seeing you boys watch the other Netflix shows eventually and maybe getting a different take away from some of the lesser appreciated shows? You guys HAVE changed your mind on things before, I believe, so... It'll be interesting. Edit: I do think Finn Jones is perfect as Danny Rand, though. Even though the fight scenes in season 1 aren't the greatest as far as the editing goes, you can clearly see that Finn put in the work, and he's extremely passionate about the character, and it comes through in his performance as well as the fact he got the dragon tattooed on his chest in real life.
