@@MS-lk8ho no after u do your workout which in this case is a 100 squats per day you continue working for 5 days then you should get minimum 2 days rest in the end of the week for your muscles to actually grow. If you work out every single day you will be damaging your muscles instead of growing them.

I did 100 squats today. I am going to do the 30 day challenge. One like one prayer for me Update: i took measurements before and after and i noticed a small change. My legs weren’t necessarily sore but i could definitely feel a change. I feel much stronger. Towards the middle I decided to add weight (6 pounds). I i do feel like there was a little bit of progress, i see more muscle in my legs. I know people will ask about my butt, I didn’t notice a big change in my measurements and it didn’t look much different. -was it worth it? Yes absolutely. It didn’t take me much time out of my day, i saw some progress and felt a lot better Hope this helps!!

xx9aznfaith9xx it actually is because when you manage to do a task 30 days in a row, the body becomes used to it, it's not as much of an effort anymore and it naturally becomes a habit. So in the long term it does make a difference..

It becoming habit and your body getting used to it is a bad thing if you really want to make a difference long term. You'll plateau and stop seeing changes once that stuff happens. You have to shock your muscles by changing what you do consistently (every few weeks) to continue to see changes... unless you don't want that, then keep doing the same ol'. You'll at the very least get some good endurance.
@aidangoodwin70316 жыл бұрын

For complete newbies finding 100 squats intimidating, try breaking it up into smaller sets of either 10, 20, 25, 50 etc and take 3 - 5 mins rest between sets and do what you can. If you're sore the next day, take a day to recover and go easier than last time by introducing more sets with lower reps and add some more rest between sets. While doing bodyweight squats won't make you super-swole, it's a good starting point and you'll see the benefits when combined with 30 - 60 mins of low intensity cardio and haveing a balanced diet.

Pro tip: If you want a bigger butt, squats are not what you want to focus on. Hip bridges, split squats, reverse lunges, donkey kicks, pull throughs. All way better for glute building. And using weights help even more if you want to get trickier than bodyweight.

But what if you already are thick but just wanna notes your legs? I have thick legs and wide hips with small waist I really just wanna tone them
@tanuchaudhary39176 жыл бұрын
Ali Coutinho I guess those exercises that have been mentioned above help you to tone it too.
@julknowl6 жыл бұрын
Ali Coutinho I think a common misconception is that toning means becoming smaller, but it's actually building muscle and "replacing" aka shrinking fat cells. Squats will make your legs tighter, for sure, but if you want a tight butt, big or not, squats do not target your bum. They do hit your butt some, but the focus is quads with a bit of hamstrings.

Tips for people looking forward to doing this: > Make sure you’re doing a proper squat ( just search up videos on how to do it (make sure source is trustworthy!)) > You’re supposed to build up intensity as things start to get easier (which should happen), for example add weights or more reps (100 reps is too much tbh, do a weight with max 20 reps and 3-5 sets (don’t overdo it)) > If things don’t get easier, it probably means you need to rest your legs more. Doing it every day is bad for progress to begin with. Just search up “super-compensation” and look further into that. >Proper diet is important for exercise (and no, diet does not necessarily mean limiting calorie-intake) and not eating plenty before squats can feel like hell, as squats are a very tiring exercise, thus you need energy. > Protein intake before and right after exercise helps muscle growth. So before exercising and (within 30 minutes preferably) after exercise, drink a protein shake or a protein bar. Blablabla more stuff you can take into consideration.

This just gonna be a comment in reply to the people arguing over if squats work quads or glutes. There is a fun little test you can do with what your squats will work. Squat and hold and if quads get sore first then you’re quad dominant, if your glutes and hammies get sore first then you’re glute dominant. Nothing wrong with either one, you can do different pelvic tilt to work the two different parts. You should find tho that doing glute dominant can translate to some big leg strength gains cause more of the muscles of your legs are working.

Angie maybe three months but not enough to measure and definitely not an inch worth of growth. You would have to lift heavy enough weight to break your muscles down and have at least 48 hours of rest between for regeneration. Regeneration is when muscle grows. 100 squats a day is a great exercise but u won't notice muscle growth in a month, especially glute muscle bc the quads and hamstrings carry most of the weight during a squat.

PipeLineGt you're right, but the term resting misleads a lot of people. If you have an intense workout, and you go home and rest the entire next day, your muscles are going to take wayy longer to heal than if you were to do low intensive workouts like cardio during your resting period

@ santiago Wow... 100 pull ups a day is not that much. 10 spread out sets of 10 is nothing. I have done it. And im no athlete. Just a normal lifter. real calisthenics athletes are insane. I wish I had that strength. They will laugh at your comments.

What if I told you you can get drastically better results if you would do 15-20 heavy squats in the gym 3 times a week with progressive overload?

Ducking madman. That takes thought and planning. That pales in comparison to the raw unbridled simplicity of hammering out 100 squats every day!

Yeah, that's because they just wasted 30 days overtraining, didn't get results and had to resort to camera tricks to fool the audience into thinking rest days don't matter.

I did 100 squats every night before bed 2 years ago and it was doing an amazing job, honestly wish I kept up with it after the 30 days

If the girls really wanted a bigger butt they should have been doing weighted squats, and increased the weight as they got stronger. Because here the butt didn’t get enough muscle stimulation for it to really grow big.

weights on the hands or how? sorry for the ignorance 😅

Thea A I would say that the most optimal would be a barbell on the traps like the guy at 3:33 in the video. But you could also hold a dumbbell with both hands like the girl at 3:30 in the video.

Batman that’s what i was thinking, otherwise they’re just staying stagnant without increasing weight or difficulty

I like how in the thumbnail the person on the left is hunched over, hands covering part of their leg, and pants are pulled lower than the pic on the right. Got to love camera angles
