Chasing the Jet Skis on the river was something new in drones that we'd never done before. You guys all did an incredible thing, and seeing it all put together is awesome. 😎👍

The ‘crosses’ are for the Army Corps of Engineers. These are actually survey stakes which are used for laying out the alignment of the rock dikes and revetments along the river. When our crews, or contractor crews, work to repair or construct a dike or revetment they used these stakes to determine which direction and at which angle from the bank the structures are to be built. At a certain point the stakes line up and that is how the crews know where to build the structure, where to stop, etc.

And the people are some of the best, and this video is a testament to what one can do if you choose to. Big thank you to the folks/fans that helped make this adventure possible for the two teams to accomplish something they set out to do and did it in style. Providing fuel and lunches was awesome. I was in the army and stationed in Missouri during the flood of 1993. The sand bags I filled are in the hundreds of thousands and the personal possessions that I helped load up seemed never ending. But no matter how much I went through it was nothing compared to the civilians that lived in the flood zone. Towns were lost along with historical sites. Definitely not the historical weather event that hurricanes get but it will never leave my memories

Actually the floods get national coverage, we hear it here on the east coast. We worry about the people there. There have been times when the east gets hammered by a hurricane and the Midwesterners come help us. We do the same for anyone. It's part of what being an American is supposed to be.

@@stevenbaker8184 i agree with what America is supposed to be. But fema never made one appearance in the area I worked in. They were there for Katrina as I worked that disaster also. Biggest difference I seen is what the local community done afterwards.

@@dmaxlife2785 Screw FEMA, it's people like you that are the true Americans, the ones who pitch in and help because they care about their fellow man, people like Paul who is a volunteer Firefighter, or like myself who was one years ago. We don't do it to get rich, we don't do it as an assignment. We do it because they need help. So thank you for what you do. I went through 3 hurricanes while living in Jacksonville NC. Matthew, Florence and Dorian. People from all over came out to help. The Feds were pretty much useless and got in the way. But it was the regular American people who stepped up alongside state and Military assets, but FEMA made a mess of it, the same way they did in Katrina.

I gotta say, when I saw it was just over an hour long I was a bit hesitant to start it thinking I wouldn't get through it all. But, it was so much fun watching it, I just ripped through the whole thing! Thanks for sharing this adventure with us guys, much appreciated!

I am praying that you all went by the museum to see the Steamship Aribian.. Its the story about the ship that went down in Kansas City river and was lost for over 100 years. Until a man set out to find it and found it in a farmer's corn field. That's some real American Frontier history for you.

An amazing once in a lifetime experience. The scenes viewed from the water were impressive and are some others will never witness, unless they watch this video. We as followers are not only blessed with enjoying the fun you all have on projects, but also the awareness of how many fans out there want to assist in anything done 'out of the shop'. Being in Scotland, I can only dream of one day 'being there'. A great adventure, and glad all made it and fully enjoyed the opportunity made real by The @pestcontrolguys and @MerlinsOldSchoolGarage for all the work getting everything ready. 👍

I’ve lived here for over 20 years and never saw that side of the river! It was amazing to bring some recreation back to the Missouri River. Some of the views were amazing and rich in history!

2 things for you all, 1) In '93 I was traveling for work and got to the I-70 bridge at Rocheport (East of Boonville, West of Columbia) and couldn't cross it, wound up getting a Tetanus shot and sandbagging for a couple of days. 2) Cooper Landing checkpoint was a popular, uhhh, shall we say, "gathering" spot, for High Schoolers. Next to Easley Caves, a lot of mis-behaving there. Glad you all had fun and were safe, especially taking on the Asian Carp.

Paul, I'm a native Missourian. I currently live south of St. Louis. Running along the same route you took on the skis is the KATY Trail. It's an abandoned railway line that's been converted into a bicycle/walking trail. It runs from Kansas City to St. Charles, MO. I've been fortunate to bike the trail twice; once West to East, the second time, East to West. It's a pretty cool experience. I'm glad you all enjoyed your trip.

Born and raised in Boonville, MO. The Missouri River is in my blood. You guys got to experience it like very few do. It was awesome seeing the hospitality of my fellow Missourians but that was never in doubt. If you ever find yourselves back in the state then I think your next destination needs to be down south in the Ozarks. Some awesome, under appreciated wheeling to be had!

I think the crosses on the side of the river is where people have drown and passed. People do the same thing on the sides of roads around here when someone has passed from an auto accident.
