I know absolutely nothing about jet ski’s and will probly never ride one since I can’t swim at all, but I really enjoy watching someone who’s so enthusiastic and passionate as Jimmy is about jet ski’s. 26:20 smokin’ 🤣 In the 80s (me in my 30s) a group of us engineers on a road project that crossed a tidal river near its estuary, we used to rent 5 or 6 stand-up jet skis from a local hotel and water sports owner, and take them out and have a ball. This was West Wales UK, where neither the weather or the water is ever warm - wetsuits we’re essential. From memory they were only 250cc but man, we had a blast with those things. Almost 3 years on that project, so imagine how many weekends and evenings we were on the water! We also had an old ski-boat, with a 60hp Suzuki twin outboard, we had loads of fun learning to ski and just enjoy the water and each other’s company. Great memories ❤️🇷🇴

Man this video was a ton of fun. Jimmy is clearly a legend when it comes to these stand ups and it's super fun to listen to his advice and then watch the Fab Rats crew learn. Now I've got some great pointers if I ever get to ride one, or ever manage to buy one reasonably and get it on the water. They look like a ton of fun. My only gripe about them is my hot rod nature. Learn how to ride, needs more hp, and how can I flip it? Especially since I can crash into water. Like Jimmy said about his MX days, I can't risk those big hits anymore. I've broken my back a couple times and sustained lesser injuries quite a few times when I was under my parents insurance as a kid due to MX, mountain biking, and skiing. Can't do that as a working adult.

#Jim Hello I seen your channel from watching Merle channel. In 1993 I lost both my legs above the knees at my job. I was a tow truck driver got a pick-up out of the center of the hwy. There was like half inch ice 6in of snow semi top this hill an jack knife his trailer smashed me between the pick-up an wrecker drug me 213 ft down the hwy. Life lives on. I end up buying a boat an 2 jet skis . I had so many people look at me like I was crazy because I rode a jet ski with no Legs . I had a Kawasaki 3 seater. It would run close to 60 mph. I loved it. I love your channel it is awesome. I live in Central Missouri I am selling my house an looking for a place to move where there is no snow not much rain. In a wheelchair snow, An wheelchair don't mix. That looks like a nice town you an Merle live in. I was wondering how much house are down there. In 1996 my house cost me half million to have built. Anyway love all the info about jet ski.

This video brought back memories from the late 70's with my buddies out on the California Delta near Sacramento where you could ride jet ski's, speed boats and basically have LOTS of fun. There was an island hang-out called The Lost Isle, which had a bar/restaurant and you could camp on the island. Those were the days!

A friend of mine had an early '90s 440. He raced ski's around that time. It was a 440 mod or something like that. That ski would pull your arms out of socket when you pulled the trigger. He also had a 650 mod but, I never rode that one. You don't need the newest and best to have fun.

I was a four year three sport athlete in high school and all thru growing up and junior high and the standup skis we had would wear the ever loving crap outta me. Tons of fun though!!!! Good job Hunter!! (Jimmy…the Jet Ski operator whisperer.)
