Our prices in the US are about the same in our bigger cities. I live on the remote Pacific northwest coast and prices are three times as much as yours. We learn how to find the best deals tho. Being inventive, like you are Alex, makes life easy. Alex deserves his sweets - he's a hard worker. My husband is the same. Thank you for this glimpse into your lives!

Thank you Marco. I also don't know many words. And when I don't know the name, I try to describe this thing with some other words 😊. And also people write the correct names in comments. I try to learn them but not very successfully sometimes 😂. And also to learn a new name fast - it is necessary to use it in your speech several times.

Those prices are amazing. In Toronto, Canada 12 eggs cost $4. The Nescafé gold espresso is $7.50; I was trying to see the price there but it wasn’t clear. Olive oil here is $15 a litre and up. Our prices here have gone crazy. It’s very expensive now. Great video!

Cheaper supermarkets are good if there is one close to where you live but if you have to drive you have to add the cost of driving there to what you spend buying food. It can end up costing more than at a regular supermarket closer to home.

That is cheap indeed, and I would certainly love to see such prices in my city. But a few things I noticed when I compare to supermarkets in my city, or in Europe in general: 1. The prices are definitely cheaper than where I live, but all in all no more than 30 to 50% cheaper than in my region from what I can see (certain articles are basically the same price, like the chocolate and the tomatoes, others are definitely much cheaper, like the onions and carrots). However, it is worth noting that salaries where I live are at least 3 times higher than moscow (according to my research average salary in Moscow is 1150 euros per month). So in terms of buying power and proportion, to be on par with my region, prices should be at least 60 to 70% cheaper. 2. There is definitely less variation in some aisles, fewer choices, most notably the pasta and oil departments, where barely a handful of brands offer their product. Mind you, the brands don't really matter, pasta is pasta, oil is oil, regardless of the brand and color of the package, it's basically almost the same product. 3. The vegetables are pretty rough, still covered in dirt and unwashed. I wouldn't mind myself when preparing them in the kitchen, but I would certainly mind even less to pay a little extra to have something a bit prettier that won't get my bags and other food articles dirty

Pasta isn’t just pasta. The paler color the better. The more yellow, the more processed.
@texanplayer7651
@texanplayer7651 Ай бұрын
@@rn87mom94 Well actually it's the opposite: the less processed pasta is, the more brown it becomes. Brown pasta is usually called whole wheat pasta, and they make them by blending the wheat with the skin, this gives more fibers and protein, and is less processed and therefore healthier.
