11:32 - That's not Porto, that's Gaia. It's a completely different city, a different municipality and a different county. According to the video you guys never set foot in Porto, so technically the title is wrong. 14:36 - That person was right, you guys were very lucky to find a place to stay in Gaia and enjoy a calmness that would be impossible to enjoy in Porto.

Port Wine is a fortified wine and used as a digestive. Not to be used as table wine. It's sweet cause the fermentation is stopped by adding brandy, hence the sweetness.

We’ve just seen you two on Wity Travels (love those guys) and now you’re in one of our favourite cities! We love the food there too. We had Sangria when we were in Porto too, and it was good! Love the prices in Portugal too! We didn’t do a river cruise, we’ll do that for sure next time. You’ve made us want to bust out the Port! Cheers 🍻

Jenny, you should have drunk straight from the Sangria picture! That meal was pricey, but it does come with near death experiences. Love that they kept the old school washing area. We would so try to do laundry there!

Vinho do Porto - It's a liqueur wine. Typically it's drunk as an aperitif or digestive, in small glasses.

Thanks for taking us along. I’ve seen very little of Porto in videos and tv. The neighborhood streets look welcoming and that skyway looks cool. Some of my favorite travel memories involve making friends with other travelers. A few we’ve actually stayed friends with. Just random luck of the draw throws you together and any one small thing like a missed cab, a red light or long wait at a cross walk, stopping to look in a store window, where you sit on a boat or train and the meeting never happens. Or with completely different people. And I agree with Jenny - pork belly is a hard pass. 🤢 I also agree with Jason - just say NO to olives! 🤐

We totally agree! It is always so fun to share experiences with new friends and fellow travelers! We are so thankful for all the people we have met in our travels! And for all the people who we get to share the experiences with on KZbin :) hahahaha pork belly is a hard pass. I will eat all the olives for you and Jacob haha!! 🫒

Don't people in the US learn to use cutlery? They can't even hold a fork and knife.

Seriously? I've been in Europe for four years now and have met people from many countries, had meals with them, and we all hold our silverware differently. Who really cares? It's about the meal and the company!!
@kappa2ou3 Жыл бұрын
@@AndNowIWrite There is only one correct way to hold the cutlery, some know it, others don't and those who don't know have terrible table manners.
@AndNowIWrite Жыл бұрын
@kappa2ou3 There's etiquette of course, but different cultures have different styles. My South African and German friends' manners match mine, but my British and Danish friends do not. To my British friends, I'm a heathen for eating fries with my fingers. I've dined with people from many cultures and I would not judge anyone for the way they hold their cutlery. I didn't say there's no such thing as manners, only that I feel the meal and company are more important.
@kappa2ou3 Жыл бұрын
@@AndNowIWrite There is no different styles, there’s only the correct styles and the wrong one. This happens because some parents teach their children how to hold cutlery correctly and other parents don't even care.
