When I met with Masa Kuji san a few years back, he was very talkative. In this video, he is very quiet and not talking much about the car. I am glad Capt Bradford is able to fill in the silence with his excellent presentation skills! I could feel that Capt was trying hard to think of things to talk about lol.

Utterly remarkable. It’s telling that you said it felt like an Evo on the Touge. That is very high praise for a car in that environment. What we have here is a car that feels like an Evo on the Touge and (predictably) a perfectly-tuned GTR on the circuit. It really sounds like the best of both worlds. Worth the money? You summed up your past R32 experience well. These older cars are very difficult to restore properly. You can do all of the right things and never completely eliminate the fact that it is a 30+ year old car. One can have the “resources” to restore the car EXACTLY like Mine’s/BBL, but does one have the “know-how” to weld in the right places to ensure that you are enhancing the chassis rather than ruining it? How will one source and restore old and peeling interior pieces? Are you doing all of the work yourself or are you working with different shops with varying familiarity with the R32? Anyone looking to restore a GTR properly would probably end up sending their vehicle to these folks anyway! Short of having the work done through NISMO, I don’t think there is a better way to restore a GTR. Even then, it comes down to what your philosophy is. Do you want OEM or OEM+? Great video! Looking forward to the next one!

I already have upgraded wheels and tires (2nd gen Aristo 17x8 wheels with Falken Azenis FK510s), an exhaust (Fujitsubo catback and HKS midpipe) and an OEM LSD.

Great video captain. Really enjoy it. May I ask that I noticed you seemed to shift very quickly. Does the gearbox on the r32 respond better to a bit more force on the gear shift?
@visionenippon-captbradford93443 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the comments. Glad you enjoyed the video. The Skyline GT-R shift lever and transmission of this car was rebuilt and in new condition so I was able to confidently use faster shifts. For longitudinally mounted (rear drive car) gearboxes, the shift lever is connected directly to the mechanical part of the shift forks. It feels very mechanical and connected. However towards the end of the stroke there is sometimes a. It or resistance which needs to be accurately pushed in all the way to make sure there is no mis shift. A little more force once you feel it can slot in but not force it in hard. Fast vs hard. Hope this helps.

Barely pushing the car how can you talk about how well it's handling? I've replaced all the bushes, changed suspension and arms in mine after owning it in stock form and it was a massive change. I don't see $400K USD. That could buy a much better car or better built GTR, sorry. The spot welds probably the only selling point, apart from that where is the rest of the money going into? Premium old new parts? Almost feels like a hype sales video.
@AndyZULUL2 жыл бұрын
even if it's not a Mine's R32, it isn't MSRP either. like he said, he's comparing to a stock GTR, he knows how everything feels already. everything on the car is refreshed, with new OEM parts, upgraded engine, transmission. which basically making it a brand new R32 which would be around 250k USD adjusted for inflation, plus all the custom work and carbon fiber parts, and the brand name, 400k seems right. and like people have always said, you're not buying these era's JDM cars because they are Better, it's for the name and nostalgia. I aint trynna defend them but feels like you're just bored.
