When I was child my mother trained me to control my dreams. With practice, I was able to face the "bad guys", walk where I wanted in the scenery, fly on purpose, dream of Venice or the USA in much more beautiful and interesting versions than reality. My dreams whispered ideas and truths in my ear. The bad guys come to challenge me and I confront them. I gain experience in every battle, lessons I think about during the day. Thank you, Mom, for training me in this sport! ✌🏼🙌🏼

You have to integrate the Shadow. You have to be exposed to the hidden, dark, macabre aspect of us, in order to know them, in order to heal them. You can't heal what you don't know. The subconscious is very powerful.

Yes, Dreams are the Subconscious Mind coming to the surface for reasons worth "Thinking" about. I write down my dreams, no matter the time, in "My Dream Log", And intentionally try to get an understanding of the message!! Ask, And You shall receive!! :)

Whenever I remember my dreams they usually are attached to something in my waking life. Usually, after recounting my dream and seeing how I felt, what I experienced, and whom I interacted with, I get a clear idea of what the dream means to me. It usually comes to me intuitively, and the more you follow that intuition and allow it to express itself fully, a memory is usually associated with it. Maybe it's not much to add, but one thing I regained from my healing journy is my intuition. Whoever you are, if you are reading this, I hope that you recover your intuition. It will become your compass in your journey.

I’ve realized how important the content we consume is as it goes into our subconscious and dreams. We also have a super conscious which connects us to the higher power

Sometimes i have dreams, usually either intense or more vivid\detailed in memory when i wake up, where the meaning or the interpretation of them come immediately and naturally to me. To the level that i barely have to invest any effort into it and most of these were related to past trauma or recent events. And what i've noticed lately that these mainly happened in a period where i felt safer and more connected with my true self since currently, by comparison, i am at more more challenging time for myself and my healing journey and indeed being less connected yields less understanding and remembering of my dreams.

Dream genius. Well said. My life depends on them right now. The more you pay attention to them, the easier they are to interpret. Always good to hear respect given to this topic. Thank you

Hi Daniel. The meaning I got from your earlier dream approach descriptions was absolutely in line with what you're reiterating here. They (dreams) don't always have to have deep philosophical meaning or be very positive. They're an amalgamation of what we fear, want, need, experience, want to experience, got, didn't get, would like to get, are happy about, are excited about, look forward to, etc. It's our job (if we want to) to try to see their real emotional conent, context, basis.

"Dream Genius" -- so poetic. LOVE that, so true. Did you come up with that, Daniel, or did Jung say it a million times and I've been under a rock? I love it, and I'm not Googling it. --As my self judgement has been receding, and my lens widening, I see with so much more clarity. My dreams have always been intense, but the difference I notice is that I remember more now. I agree that the Dream Genius is the true self--and, as such, strategic and ingenious in its ways. The idea that you need to have some connection to the true self, to self love--the implication being that this could be totally and completely beaten out of anyone--in order for your subconscious to be your ally doesn't strike me as true. I'm not sure at this moment if that is my instinct or if I feel that way because the implications are so dire for a number of people I've met. Rather, I think at times that dreams are revealing of my true north, and other times, they are simply serving as crucial expressions of unhealthy truths that need to be felt in a safe space. Some people who think they are only experiencing dreams in the latter realm may actually have blocks that are causing them to remember only those dreams, and not those of the former quality. This subject is wonderful, and it's really fun thinking about.

dude some of my dreams are so vivid and clear, graphics more 4d and higher than real life, sometimes with such high level intelligence and recently had such articulate language and words I was forming. dreams really are for me, a landscape of dimensions and exploration and more. sometimes wisdom and insights. sometimes randomness with no explicit meaning or connection. I'd take it with a grain of salt, - yet take conscious neuroticism with a grain of salt too!!!

Sometimes the personalities and events I encounter in my dreams are very disturbing. I feel that these are reflections of the pain I cannot resolve in the waking world. My unconscious is telling me that I have difficulty understanding and processing the evil of the world. The dreams show me the feelings that I cannot fully feel when awake, that the impact is stronger than my waking consciousness can handle. Sometimes I return to imaginary landscapes, buildings, houses or neighborhoods that seems very familiar, though I have never been there in waking life. Some places are comforting and in some I am lost and trying to navigate to get to a destination. Then, other times my dreams create music! I am not a musician and am so surprised that my unconscious can create beautiful melodies and lyrics that quickly fade once I wake up. These different dream themes seem to alert me to the healing I need, confusion I feel, or perhaps, the frustration of not being able to resolve conflicts in the world beyond my control. I find it valuable to acknowledge and honor the messages dreams invite me to explore.

My dreams are more likely to be retrospection and scrutinization of what I did in the day, I can even hear the voice from myself in the dream telling me how to improve my behavior for the next day, and I nodded a lot in the dream! Maybe I just put too much pressure on me these days.

Daniel, thanks for making a video on the power of dreams! 🙌 I’ve been recently learning about and practicing ways of weaving dream life into waking life intentionally through art - specifically poetry, collage, illustration and origami. As I revisit those pieces which I place on altars/walls around me, I start literally seeing patterns in imagery/sounds/colors/ places and synchronicities with events in waking life. I enjoy listening to indigenous psychologist Dr. Eduardo Duran speak about dream work in his practice with clients and in his own life evolution. “There is the dream that’s dreaming us,” he frequently quotes a saying of the Kalahari peoples. Indeed- there is a dream that is dreaming us as our souls are dreaming of others as others of ours. Dreams have had a profound impact in my own self transformation and awakening to truth- that I can be the love that is the universe and i can accept /give the love and inner freedom that has been available from within me along. Dreams like those have literally saved my sanity and provided crucial insights /reminders to allowing the light and love within me to just come through by simply being.

I have had some dreams that were otherworldly, both in the best and worst ways. Some that I didn't want to end, and others that were so horrible that I was like wtf? where do these images come from? I wonder if all dreams are just the subconscious trying to send a message. Once I wrote a poem in my dream, and I do not normally write poems or much of anything creative, really, and kept trying to hold onto it, but forgot it after I was fully awake. Also maybe you could talk about sleep paralysis, and what could cause those episodes.

Dreams are thought and senses in freedom. They see things that are 1000 times more intense and strong and changing and powerful (even in small details) than in waking life, where our minds rationalise, even against us, classify, reason, are subject to stress, and lose lots of information.

Dream analysis is a powerful tool to open up self reflection. The dream in and of itself doesn't represent morality. Dreams present us with symbols and it's up to us to interpret them. I've often noticed that my dreams are influenced by what is going on with my body, so if I am stressed I get stressful dreams. The implicit mind/body connection is most present in dreams... whatever the body remembers, the dreams tell the stories.

The past few days I've been alone in my father's home while he is away on vacation for a month and I finally got the nerve to self reflect on everything and anything and I have noticed that Self reflective free writing truth telling tires me out and when I nap, even if only for a short time, I dream very wild dreams and I feel so strange after I awake so now I am very curious what the hell this is all about. I even awoke from a dream crying deeply while crying in and at the very end of the dream.

Thanks for the video Daniel. I wonder if you can comment on my situation with dream analysis? I used to remember alot of dreams. Sometimes it was 5 dreams in night. I found that earliest in the night were the dreams from early childhood, this was the ones that were scariest. Later usually day to day stuff mixed with my unconscious dynamics. I could write them down or record them. Every dream was like half page long or sometimes 5-10 minutes. Over the years I found that I have less and less dreams, or I remember less of them. Sometimes I remember 1 or 2 dreams, and they are usually the ones in the morning, that dont show my childhood years, or even teenage/school years. And I wonder, did I process my traumas, so that I dont need them anymore - I have like 5 journals and tens or houndreds of hours recorded dreams. Or I became more dissosiated or blind to my deeper massage? If you can just say your thoughts or suggestions, I would appreciate highly. Take care!

I have almost always had bizarre, or at the worst, deeply disturbing dreams. This made me an insomniac at one point during my days of being depressed. Why could this be? I had a fairly standard childhood, and I don't consume any violent content except the rare horror film.
