Having worked in the cafe here when I was still at high school (I’m 42 now) it brought back wonderful memories of people I worked with and my mum and my grandad worked there too and I have fond memories of going as a kid when grandad worked there thank you for sharing. It’s really sad that its so run down and may end up having houses built on it. It was always really busy when I worked there!!

Oh this was absolutely fantastic and to hear in your voice the magic of childhood memories that years later still gave such joyful enthusiasm to your chat about the place 💖 I loved the edited in videos of how an area was 👍 So sad to see it like that now, abandoned and overgrown but fortunately very little vandalism. I have memories of similar places visited as a child, too young then to know where now, my mother is no longer here to ask and my father too ill to even remember. This has Really brought back memories for me and sorrow at how life changes from such sweet precious childhood day trips out 😪💖 Thank you so much for this fabulous video 💖💖

I was going to ask the same questions! This trip through an abandoned animal park reminds me of the zoo we have here in Tucson, AZ. It's not as much acreage but it is full of flora and fauna as well as different types of animals. It would be VERY sad to see our zoo abandoned like this, not only to the visitors but also to the different animals!
@Countrystock4 жыл бұрын
A lot of the animals got rehomed to other parks in the area. One day the land will probably have houses on them....no plans yet thou
@tam65674 жыл бұрын
It was shut down because as far as I'm aware the owners couldn't keep up with the upkeep and the constant changes needed for rules and regulations etc. All the animals, minus the wild ducks/birds were all re-homed either by local centres or places up the UK.

Hi guys. As much as I love Urban exploring myself, this land is still owned by friends of mine who live in the houses at the top of the park by the road. Since this video there have been multiple people coming in and causing damage which includes smashing of windows of some of the buildings as well as theft of equipment. Please can you make it clear that this land is still accessed daily by the owners and CCTV cameras have now been installed. They are really nice guys and hate to ruin the fun but there are so many legal issues that will pop up by entering the park and they will push for action to be taken if it continues. Sorry to be a killjoy as like I said I myself am fully into exploring abandoned places. :)

It is astounding once more how derelict a place can be after 5 years. Even though I have never been there I can imagine what a trip down memory lane it was for you. Once I found urbex pictures of a place that I used to know and that was already fascinating. This places' website is still online, unfortunately however neither the gallery nor the park map seem to be functional anymore, but it was easy to find the place on google maps and I could locate some of the buildings I saw in the video and where most likely the owners live. On street view there's even a view from the entrance area from when it was operational. It seemed to me that looking from up above there is probably some more interesting stuff surrounding the park.

Its near where I live. Been closed a few years. Think someone in family died and they didn't want to carry in with it. Wanted to develop it. Real shame. I got picture of my son feeding the ducks there when he was 4. Hes 25 now. Opposite the cafe was a seating area and glass where you could see through to the pond. There were ordinary carp in there. I remember the bit they walked through was tropical world. There were birds and butterflies in there. There were never any otters.
