I've been thinking the same, with RF and sound (though they are recording and can replay anything to associate I'm thinking too if the mic isn't saturated). With particle radiation, the QG-320 pro is what I have and there are better systems. Not a bad idea with those sites since old nuclear weapons testing fallout I've heard is in New Mexico and Texas even with mutant microorganisms... not just in the caves. In regards to RF and sound, I just made an instructable to detect RF more and Sound to see if the sound can be associated with RF DEW's: www.instructables.com/id/How-to-Make-a-Directed-Energy-Weapon-Detection-Sys/

It's an engine testing facility. There's one almost exactly like it in Cleveland Ohio at the NASA Glenn research facility. The engine's would be assembled fueled and then the building would be moved out of the way in case of failure. Too bad you didn't have a chance to see it in operation. I watched a few shuttle engine tests and it's amazing how much power they put out. As far as the security set up. I don't think you would want to get near the place when one of those monsters was running flat out. Can't imagine what it would be like if it blew. Damn cool explore! Thanks! We can view testing from a half mile away but no way can you get in to see the buildings close up. And Emma, I don't know if was your Dad's editing or those jeans but..... well great video anyhow guys!😎

You're exactly right, I used to do some work with General Electric, and was able to watch them test up close at their plant in Evendale, outside of Cincinnati the ground would shake, and the roar was deafening, even with hearing protection, as they tried to break loose from their stands that were bolted to the ground. . There is also a similar facility at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, I got to watch them test the integrity of jet engine fan blades against bird strikes by firing dead chickens at them from a cannon, it was all very interesting.

I think you may of hit the nail on the head when you said about a blast area. Some of those look like a Jet engine or rocket blast wall so it breaks up the exhaust when they test turbine engines of some kind. The reason the buildings moved is because the engines stay mounted and they move the building from over the top of the turbine or propulsion engine of some kind so they can test the engine outdoors

Just found your channel and wished I could have escorted you around this place (I used to set up training events in the state and always cleared my trips with WSMR range control and the local Sheriff's office). There's a super cool lady working at the Powell museum who grew up in town and maintains their military history exhibits. She's a great source of info. The area is still managed by the US Army, White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico which sends a maintenance inspection team up there about once a month. The air space can be shut down for training events. Athena Missiles were fired into New Mexico for Weather observations. There's one on static display in the middle of town at the park and its about 40' tall. First Stage boosters were falling into Canyon Lands National Park so, for some odd reason (sarcasm), people complained! There's still remnants of the main post in Green River which you guys may not have realized you drove by on the way past the old Uranium Mine and processing facility. The Launch Facility you guys toured is on one section (square mile) of SITLA (Schools Institutional Trust Land Admin) and surrounded by BLM lands but, its all under lease agreement so, technically, still DOD lands. At this launch site, there's three launch pads but, only the one still has the maintenance building that would roll back after the missile was ready to launch. The round cement structures with all the bolts is the launch pad and the TEL was bolted to it. After the building was rolled back, the missile was raised to firing position. There's another launch complex you guys missed to the west though...Pershing One's were launched there. Next time you go, you need to consider asbestos masks for protection from not only that stuff but, bat droppings and Mica (sp). The three buildings near I-70 are maintenance support and are still on DOD property. One dude keeps breaking in and trying to live out of one of them, called it a church of the open desert or something (he used to be seen around Moab in a wedding dress). Buildings above I-70 were the tracking stations. The uranium tailing are under the protective cap you saw. Reach out if you're still planning trips around Utah, I may be able to at least give you some good maps and ideas. Be Careful and enjoy.

Just a guess, but I would think it's where they tested either early jet engines or rocket thrusters. Could be the movable building provided shade for the engineers, suspended the engine/thruster, and maybe they built the building to weigh as much as whatever they needed to propel. Tow the building back to one end, start up the engine or thruster, and see if it could overcome the weight of the building. It might also be a missile test site. Lay the missile down, move the building over it to provide shade and act as scaffolding, then move it away when ready to test. All I know is it reminds me of the gigantic mobile platforms used for launching the space shuttle, and the round structure looks like it could be for redirecting exhaust as well as igniting the thruster(s). I'd love to know for sure what it was used for.

The moving building is a modified Thor missle service and assembly building. The site you visited is the Green River Army Missle Test Facility. It was used in late 1950's thru the early 1970's to launch and test Army artillery rockets. It is not active and there is no Army or federal presence other than the BLM. It was used in conjunction with the White Sands Missle Test Range. This is not a secret base.

I worked in the defense industry for 3 decades and in a lot of our assembly buildings, the American flag is prominently displayed to remind all employees of who we are doing this all for. I have no doubt that this was a military and/or defense contractor doing work on some kind of propulsion system and/or rocket tech that required heavy lift capabilities. (note: just saw the comment that this was the Green River Complex - My thoughts were confirmed on the type of site this was ;>) )

Classified Location: USAF/CIA not area 51 this was more or less a test facility for the parts used in the current jets. Abandoned in 1985 and used for storage and computer processing till 1990 then completely shut down. The tailings are fairly harmless, you should care a geiger counter to be on the safe side. US Govt doesn't care about what they leave behind they take what they can use and nothing more. You should however be careful these places have countermeasures that still may be active. They also stored materials here that required extreme cooling measures hence the huge hvac system. Heavy materials hence the cranes. I don't normally comment on such matters but this one i happen to know about. It is privately owned now you would probably be asked to leave the property rather than be in serious danger.

@@1bigpea Yeah but the highway could of been made after the Uranium tailings were deposited. As much as i love America, i honestly still wouldn't trust the govt to take care of its citizens like its supposed to. Must remember all the nuclear testing they did on inmates n soldiers without even telling them the consequences, Also the Radium girls tragedies. I do atleast give props to the 'Los Alamos National laboratory' in New Mexico for detecting what is probably the biggest international radiation contamination of North America. All because of some radiated Cobalt-60 pellets from the core of a cancer treatment device that originated from the city of Cd.Juarez, Chihuahua.

Are they missile blast walls? And the moving building was the canopy for it? Not read the comments so it's probably been answered by now

This "New Area 51" appears to be off of I-70, some Kms.east of Green River, UT. I recognise the terrain of the region.

I enjoyed the video. I wonder why the government would leave that open like that. Seems strange.

They lease the land off to local ranchers hence the cattle they passed. Farmers need access to herd them or transport them

The moveable structure may have been designed to hide things from passing satellites 👽🏗️⚗️📡

The blast walls were for launching rockets... The movable building would make a great assembly building for missiles and rockets, instead of moving the rocket you move the building out of the way, which also would explain all the fireproofing.
