Justin. Yer killin' me. Re: Caveat 1. Today's hair. Stop. You look effing fabulous and always do. My hair and I would kill for that volume, and, in fact may have. (This is not an admission of guilt.) Next! Caveat 2: Today's JHRA audio. Also, stop. You’re worried about clean audio? ANYONE can deliver clean audio. Here’s a question: What's cooler than watching and listening to a JHRA video? Answer: Watching and listening to a JHRA being conducted in the back lounge of The Darkness’ tour bus while it’s parked underneath the arena where the night's gig is to take place with the mildly invasive sound of the other band's soundcheck bleeding through. Who wants studio-quality audio when you can have THAT?! Yes, please! Where else are we going to get that experience? In these videos you give us an opportunity to live vicariously through your music, thoughts, processes, your experiences, and the view through your eyes. Please let us hear it through your ears as well. We. Love. This. Thank you! Knock 'em dead tonight and effing blow the roof off of Wembley Arena tomorrow. Dammit!

Hey Justin, saw you in Brum on Tues and loved it, great to see you giving it your all, all of you. Sadly I missed the support act because like many on a Tuesday night and into my 30s (as most of the youngest first gen The Darkness fans probably are by now), my wife and I had been at work and had to sort the kids out first!! Rock ‘n’ roll, right? It was evident the crowd was a bit subdued, like you said at the show itself, probably for the reasons above; it was a Tuesday, but I hope you realise it doesn’t mean you were any less enjoyable, and speaking for myself, loved the show. There wasn’t a bad word from anyone there even though a proportion were obviously there for the Cherry. How does it affect you as an artist when the crowd aren’t as responsive, and are you able to sit back after and think we still have it out all and made a lot of people happy, even if they weren’t showing it as much as a weekend crowd who are more relaxed and loosened up? On the phones, I’m half and half; I think it’s not just about people sharing it with others, it’s more that in this day and age, people want a memory of it, and if you’ve paid a lot of money to be there in a cost-of-living crisis, you’re not going to get to do that so much (this was a great value gig though, 2 for 1 headliners!!!), but equally it’s never like seeing it with your own eyes, odd photos and video is ok but not watching it all through a phone screen, it’s like going to a gallery or zoo or a museum or something and photographing everything and never looking with your own eyes… maybe it would be worth saying at the start I want you to fckn dance tonight so we’re gunna do a little ditty with some of our big riffs and flames and sh!t for you to take a momento, and then I want you to join in. And then if they don’t, they’re daft and missing out. Anyway, loved it all, fire, handstands and Motorheart. And Get Your Hands off my Woman, Motherfather! Always been my favourite ❤️ ♥️

I feel this! As a professional photographer/videographer I congratulate you for having recorded the audio with the built in camera microphone as well - how sad would i've been if this episode would have been unusable for lacking any audio at all. It's no problem to watch/listen to this way! AND: I think your hair looks AWESOME - you might no be used to your face in the mirror like that YET but had I still as much hair as you do - I'd be inspired to have a hairdo exactly like that. Looks Rock'n'Roll but like 2023 Rock'n'Roll - I love it! Keep up the great work - love your Channel!

I had a fantastic time at your performance in Birmingham on Tuesday, I saw The Darkness perform in November 2004 in Brixton. That time I had to leave my then 9 month old son Angus, at home with his dad. Tuesday's performance was perfect as I had my now adult boy by my side right at the front, just as excited to be seeing you as I was. I brought him up properly!

Justin, I was at the Wembley show on Saturday and i just want to say wow. I've waited nearly 20 years to see you guys live but always had the worst luck in finding out you were playing a gig until the day or day after 😩. Either way in 2003 i was a 15 year old praying for some "pwoppa wock and woll" like AC/DC, Thin Lizzy & Queen and when the charts were just full of stuff i couldn't connect with I heard growing on me. it was a single shining beacon through and i knew music was in safe hands. Thankyou for restoring my faith and then for delivering the exact show i needed it to be on Saturday. Now a question; I was impressed by how tight you guys were on Saturday. How often do you guys rehearse/play together when not touring and what was the rehearsal schedule like in a lead up to any gig or this tour in particular?

Firstly my apologies for the long comment!! Hi Justin, I have recently became a fan of your channel and you have won my heart over completely!! I have been a slight fan previously through the darkness however your channel naturally has let me see the personal side of you which I have come to respect a lot. I myself am a singer (although not categorising myself the same as yourself) and I have been singing for a few years now. Currently I play with a wedding/function band which I enjoy a lot and to be honest it slightly fulfills a dream in that I make a respectable earning off of singing. I do have plans to one day still pursue a career singing my own material with a band however a lack in confidence and other issues that need not be mentioned have always held that back. All this aside I would love to ask you one rather big question.....well more multiple questions combined in to one in a sense. Looking back on your career now from starting playing in bands and writing jingles (I believe that is correct), touring and releasing singles worldwide and now continuing your career with the Darkness while also starting up your own personal career within the youtube world. Which of this has been your main highlight? Would you have done anything differently? And lastly, What would your advice be to any musician/singer that is either starting out or wanting to revive a career in music? I really hope that you reply and thanks if you do. Regards David Dale

As a response to your audio problems here, myself and my wife were down the front in Leeds later, and it was the best show we’ve ever seen. Question, she commented afterwards that you had a command of the audience, and stage presence, on par with Freddie Mercury! I whole heartedly agree, but I wonder how much is natural, and how much you consciously worked on? 20 year dream of mine to see you guys, and it was even better than I hoped for, thanks so much, and 17 year old Jay with the cowbell, great moment!

It is wonderful when an artist makes a professional recording of a performance and shares it one way or another with the audience. Unfortunately this is not the case with most bands. So I am left with only one option. To be singing, dancing, enjoying and experiencing to the fullest while recording and taking pictures! Because I can perfectly do all this simultaneously. I’ve tried to “just experience the show” and I regretted it later. Because memories fade and the only way to keep the emotions vivid is to record some of the songs. Thus you can go back in time and re-live the moment whenever you want. I am doing it for myself. But what’s wrong with sharing it with those not attending? How would otherwise a person living on the other end of the world, or one who cannot afford travelling, or someone still too young (but a future fan) enjoy a show? Seeing old low quality bootleg recordings from 20 + years ago makes me so glad someone made this effort, even with the limitations of the devices back then, so we can have at least a taste of the experience which otherwise would have been impossible.

9:55- I had a guy come to my house once with someone and he was rather taken by the fact that I was in a band and had my gear and everything sitting in the living room- he was younger kid. So he's like "Do you like death metal?" And I told him that even though that's not the kind of music I play I enjoy all kinds of music, including death metal. So, he's like "Do you want to hear some ...." I can't remember the name of the band, but I was like "Sure man", and I started getting my guitar out to hook it up and hand it to him- the kid just jumps up and starts singing. And its death metal so he's screaming- and I don't mean a little- this kid is slinging spit all the way across my living room- you can hear him a mile away- sweat starts popping out on his forehead.... This kid proceeds to sing the entire side of an album. It took a good 40 min- to an hour for him to finish. And he was up stomping his feet, head banging, sweat just flying off the dude- it was fucking impressive man. I mean it sounded atrocious- don't get me wrong, the kid had no voice for this at all but- to watch someone pour every ounce of their soul and passion into something like that- in your living room, for you. I literally cried- I loved it, no one has ever given me such an amazing gift. His name was Arron- he passed away a couple years ago, he had some problems from birth apparently- and a very, very hard life as a child- he was horribly abused and severely neglected. Arron was autistic and he had some other health issues I'm not real clear on tbh. He loved music more than anything in the world. I took him to every gig I played for the next 3 years, but eventually we lost touch. I've never seen a happier person than Arron sitting backstage at a simple gig in a bar or at a party- that's all we played- but he thought we were rock stars. I miss him. Sometimes it's not about how technically good it is- it's about the passion, the soul that someone is gifting you. Put down your phone and accept it properly, please.

What has been the most nerve rattling gig you’ve ever played to date? I was in a band that opened for Rose Tattoo at a gig that was put on by an Outlaw Motorcycle Club.
