That’s what happens when you have an amateur run out the 8th mile banging off the limitor in first year . You end up breaking the trans . They need to bench him as a fucken driver b4 they have to rebuild that car all over agin for the 3rd time. As a driver driving a $200,000 car you should know better when you know the fucking transmissions not changing gears out the dig you don’t run it out the back you shut her down.

Leo, I'm pretty sure the trans problem started because of the burnout. I could be wrong but I'm thinking with that much power and those big tires, when you do a burnout, you lock it into 1 gear so it doesn't shift. As it grabs traction that sudden shock plays hell on the drivetrain, especially the planetary gearset. The good news is that I think you caught it quick enough that the whole trans won't be smoked, just a rebuild
@wrkunst2 жыл бұрын
If you listen during the burnout it sure sounded like it made a hard most on the shift as he was letting out the throttle

Better plan on those problems every time, makes it easier when it happens. High level car = high cost. Calm it down to a 10 sec 1/4 mile car (give you time to react and be aware and ready to shut it down at a split second), make 50 passes then put your big boy pants on.

Narrow rearend , wide slicks and a short wheelbase car are all a recipe for possibly a little sa-shay action meaning a squirrley car. What i mean is the rim will sway inside the rear tire from side to side. It'll feel like the car is going sideways but it's not. People that freak out and start to basically try to correct wind up over driving causing a crash. My friend basically wrecked his dads Malibu at the dragstrip this way. If you ever feel like its getting out of control , the smartest thing you can do is drop the parachute. If it don't shift..... lift. I was waiting to hear boom when Nick was going thru the lights but luckily that didn't happen.
