As a tendered headed person, I had to go to locs myself. So yay Sydney. Welcome to the loc side 😊…. It was hard at first. But I told myself if I didn’t like it by the 1yr point, I can comb them out. Luckily, I start loving them by month 4th. Please tell her to stick it out, it will be worth it. I wish I could speak to her about it. But anyway, I can’t wait to see her journey 🙂

I always thought she would look beautiful in locs!! Its low maintenance-ish. I had them for over 6yrs, loved them but wanted a change. So they had to go, but there are some days when I still wish I had them. They would have been down my back by now, but I would have kept them collar bone-ish lenght. They will grow out beautiful, healthy & strong. Dont worry this time next year you would be amazed at how much they gave grown & changed. Looking forward to watching them grow out of their awkward loc stage 💕

I wrote you awhile back about using oils to use on her tender scalp. as a child I was the same way, so at 11 my mother taught me to do my own hair she couldn't take me crying for hours and hours, so she taught me to braid...I know what your daughter is going through 😢.but there is some hope, as an adult I discovered using vitamin E, rosemary and olive oil and many others oils on my scalp..it helped alot, the areas on my scalp are not so sore anymore when I do my hair...I wish i had known this throughout my childhood...but Sydney's hair looks so cute and it fits her si well...bravo mom and bravo to her for hanging in there ❤❤❤

Sydney...I've been growing my locs since 2009...my hair was a mess the first 5-6 maybe 7 months but the next thing I knew, my hair was on my cheeks...my hair grew so fast...ur starting at a nice length...I starting with short locs...I couldn't stand them but I got thru I love my locs😢

Yup, started my locs with a twa! My hair was waaaayyyy shorter than hers. Tried to wear a wig over them and by that 4th day, I couldn’t take it. I rocked my lil coils and it was what it was! Got so many compliments on my texture and what I was doing with my hair. Ended up taking folks on a journey with me! She will be just fine! ❤
