You didn't even mention how in the first race that second safety car completely screwed you over. (And everybody else who had pitted early). You lost another handful of positions, and since the race director didn't wait for the field to close up, Gordie was about 25 seconds behind the race leader at the restart. Of course the Pragas were around 4 seconds quicker than any other type of car. And all the other fast Praga crews were also involved in the turn 1 mayhem, so were either out of the race or far behind you. So Gordie "only" needed to not make a mistake while picking up the slower cars, and still win with a big margin. In the second race the fastest Pragas were all in the fight, and that one really came down to a fantastic duel for the win. Gordie might have been the one who did the deciding overtakes in the end. But he was only in a position to do that because you gave him the car in a great position. As close as that race turned out, every second counted. And you didn't leave any second on the track.

And given that Jimmy was setting fastest laps in his stint of race 2 it was likely only a matter of time until he got the overtake on p1 if it wasn't for having to pit for the driver change/penalty. So he really was a significant factor in the race two victory, even if Gordie was on another level. Either way, nobody can say the success wasn't fully earned.

Jimmy did more than enough for a rookie driver and should be very proud of his efforts and achievement. The thing that impresses me is his commitment, he’s never acted like this is just a big of fun that he can do because he’s famous. He’s respected the privilege he was given, the people that enabled him to have this opportunity (his subscribers, viewers and the team) and his other competitors. The emotion shows how much this means and how hard he’s trying. Eventually shed a few myself. Well done Jimmy really enjoyed seeing you win!

I do completely understand what Jimmy felt when he won because when sometimes I imagine myself as a racing driver, even for one race, and just supposing that I could win a race, it do give me this feeling, weeping of joy and achievement and mainly being proud of winning a race as "newbie". But for me it's still in my head but for Jimmy, that's real and I'm really proud of him, he's actually opening a way for the simracers, showing that driving around behind a screen isn't gaming, that's proper racing and Jimmy is a good exemple of this. So yeah, I'm really happy for Jimmy, he deserves this so much, and I was so proud of him and the team for this win ! May he race again in 2022 !!

Nowadays I've got my own Sim rig that I built myself, a full pedal/wheel/shifter setup, I make an effort to watch televised races often (mainly IMSA and WEC, but also GTWC, British GT and ofc Britcar) and I'm even looking into building my own track car sometime next year (not sure what base I'm gonna go with yet, but something small and lightweight and I'm thinking of putting a turbocharged 6L V8 in it, cause eargasm.)

Over three years ago I found Jimmy's channel while watching a Camaro ZL1 1LE setting a 7.16 around the Nordschleife, something that would seem incredibly fitting in later years. His ability to commentate while driving and his incredibly humble personality, coupled with a small amount of actual driving talent, kept me coming back for more. Wins at Lemons and Indy have followed, the introduction of the highly successful 23 hours of Zolder charity race have led to this moment, a much deserved double win for Jimmy, Gordie and Goldie. Couldn't be happier, couldn't be more proud of you guys right now. And, rookie of the year. AND a bronze liscence. Maybe D Station Racing will be looking for a new Am driver in the near future?

Jimmer a very deserved win. That was a team effort. You brought the car home in the first race without damage which was the most important to do on your part and later managed to stick with the leader throughout your stint in 2nd race. Your team mate was a monster himself but in circuit racing those seconds change everything and what you did surely helped him as well to cover less ground. Awesome end of this story.

Jimmy has a feel for endurance race craft from the million sim racing laps and it shows when time after time he avoids start-line lunacy. It takes two very strong stints to win just one race, to take the whole race day is all-round perfection.

man i started watching you like 3-5 years ago. You were streaming Grand Prix 4. One of my favourite games, just because i played it /watched my dad play it loads when i was younger. I think you had like 30 viewers and i dont know 10-20k subs?. What a journey it was from there to here. You said you love cars going fast since you were young, when you play Gran Turismo with your Grandad. I watched the 24h of Nordschleife, when you got the bad news, i dont know what they were, i dont need to know. something i remember from the stream however was you explaining, that we were all your backseaters, going on a journey together, sometimes they are not good journeys, but man, seeing you grow and become a real races, was a hell of journey to join and follow you throughout. You truly are an inspiration for Sim Racers and motorsport fans around the world. Your grandad is / would be very proud of you. Legend.
