You didn't even mention how in the first race that second safety car completely screwed you over. (And everybody else who had pitted early). You lost another handful of positions, and since the race director didn't wait for the field to close up, Gordie was about 25 seconds behind the race leader at the restart. Of course the Pragas were around 4 seconds quicker than any other type of car. And all the other fast Praga crews were also involved in the turn 1 mayhem, so were either out of the race or far behind you. So Gordie "only" needed to not make a mistake while picking up the slower cars, and still win with a big margin. In the second race the fastest Pragas were all in the fight, and that one really came down to a fantastic duel for the win. Gordie might have been the one who did the deciding overtakes in the end. But he was only in a position to do that because you gave him the car in a great position. As close as that race turned out, every second counted. And you didn't leave any second on the track.

And given that Jimmy was setting fastest laps in his stint of race 2 it was likely only a matter of time until he got the overtake on p1 if it wasn't for having to pit for the driver change/penalty. So he really was a significant factor in the race two victory, even if Gordie was on another level. Either way, nobody can say the success wasn't fully earned.

Jimmy did more than enough for a rookie driver and should be very proud of his efforts and achievement. The thing that impresses me is his commitment, he’s never acted like this is just a big of fun that he can do because he’s famous. He’s respected the privilege he was given, the people that enabled him to have this opportunity (his subscribers, viewers and the team) and his other competitors. The emotion shows how much this means and how hard he’s trying. Eventually shed a few myself. Well done Jimmy really enjoyed seeing you win!

I think I can speak for ALL your fans Jimmy. We were ALL crying happy tears for you and Gordie. What a fitting, dramatic end to a great BritCar series and for Praga as well. In the end you made ALL of us armchair drivers and fans, winners and made friends all over the world. Pretty good stuff from some little old SimRacer, don'tcha think? Well done lad. Ya done yourself and us Proud.

I hardly ever comment on videos but I wanted to say, the footage of you hanging over the pitwall as you guys finished first just hit me with so many emotions. The build up to that moment was incredible. It reminded me of the emotions with your Indy 500 win but taken to another level! So many congratulations to you guys!!

2 effing wins, casual! What a weekend! What a pairing, what a team! Holy shit Gordy can pedal, not a bad teacher to have. Nothing I can say that hasn't been said already but seriously great race meeting. To even get a podium after this many races would've been awesome. Kept your head in that incident at turn 1 in the first race, made some places back like a pro! Consistently super fast in the 2nd race too, a really impressive job!

Its such a weird feeling watching the britcar videos. I have never met this man in my life and he doesn't know of my existence but watching him succeed makes me feel so proud. This channel is such an inspiration. To go from shed dweller to race winner is something else.

She did a good job in the beginning but unfortunately seemed to put the power on a little too hard which span her out 😢
@XenonArcher3 жыл бұрын
@@madbull4666 i think she was a passenger at that point regardless of throttle input imo. these cars on grass going downhill is just asking for loss of control but she really didnt have a choice. really unfortunate

Why'd they switch team mates do you know?
@theshevanel3 жыл бұрын
@@458alok if I had to guess, probably because pairing jimmy with hands down the fastest driver with a chance to win the last race would look good from a promotional/marketing perspective (given Jimmy's large, dedicated fanbase).
@madbull46663 жыл бұрын
@@XenonArcher oh definitely she was definitely a passenger, and she did an incredible job at dodging everyone in the beginning. But just as she was joining the track you can hear the rpm shot up just as she lost traction. She may have just been a little too eager to start attacking again which is so easily done.

I stumbled upon your channel in April 2020 right after all the lockdowns, and quarantines, and craziness of this pandemic began, and you're videos kept me company through some of the loneliest days I've ever experienced. It's been so much fun watching you go from "driving wacky mods around the Nordschleife" to "winning real life races", can't wait to see what you do next!
