My theory: Sharkgirl and Lavaboy are just figments of Max’s imagination, as his school life and home life both suck. When he says he’s wanted to dream forever, he wanted to commit toaster bath. His constant ramblings about them are actually him giving hints to his mental state, but no one believes him. The adventure he goes on is everyone redeeming their mistreatment to him, and at the end when everything’s better, he’s in the afterlife where everything is peaceful.

To be fair i felt that george lopez (the teacher/mr electric) was the most redeeming part of the film that line “i’am the danger of dreaming. No dude, none of that is funny after the jake Lloyd stuff, especially since it was probably brought on by how much people harrased him for playing anakin. The whole response to the phantom menace should be looked back on with shame, the amount of grown adults who completely ostracized & hated a child for doing his best in a movie is just disgusting and sad. Its a dead horse that should be left to rest, not dug back up and prodded.

@@realmythshade9940 the kid who played anakin had to quit acting around age 11 because of the response to him in phantom menace, he personally was the target of massive amounts of hate & bullying and his life has basically been hell ever since, more recently he was diagnosed with schizophrenia and he went to jail for assaulting his mother. Thats why I think the phantom menace shouldn't be done by them. Its a big yikes & should just be left alone. Watch it for your personal enjoyment all you like but publicly mocking it after all that I think is poor taste.
