Both Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker have been on board for years, but have only wanted to do it if the script warranted bringing the characters back "organically" as Jackie said in an interview a long time ago. By the time "Rush Hour" came out, Jackie was already kiiiinda getting up there. But another thing too is that because this was an American-produced movie, there were stricter rules in terms of what they could allow Jackie to do, because frankly insuring him would've cost them hella money. Unlike HK productions, where it's really guerilla-filmmaking at its purist, and they just let the actors/stunt-people do their thing without so much back-and-forth.

3 parts of this movie that really make me crack up laughing are: 1. When Carter starts dancing like Michael Jackson in the middle of the street after blowing the car up 2. When Lee and Carter are bonding and practicing disarming techniques while Edwin Starr's song "War" plays in the background 3. When Carter says "I know that ain't the bomb. Get that bomb away from me." Towards the end And Trust me, the blooper reels for the remaining two movies are just as funny when it comes to the slip-ups with the dialogue

While other movie greats prefer to sit back and leave the tricky stuff to the stunt people, there is arguably not a bone in this man's body that hasn't been broken during filming, or a muscle that hasn't been stretched, torn, or otherwise compromised. His stunt team is legendary, spanning multiple generations and all of its members are incredibly proud. Honestly, if I were these people, I'd be proud too.

"There should always be bloopers" Bloopers are a Jackie Chan tradition he picked up from stuntman-turned-director Hal Needham (Smokey and The Bandit, Hooper) who he worked for on "Cannonball Run" I & II "They must have improvised so much" "They have the best comedic chemistry" Jackie did not understand a lot of the humor. He really just did what he was told and trusted that the Hollywood writers and director knew how to present his natural charisma and humor to Americans. He had fun making the movie and became great friends with Tucker but even on the sequels he just kind of said his lines, hit his mark and tried to be funny whenever he could be.
