Michael. My second comment is about your copper beech trees. Again, when I saw them I immediately reacted to the fact that when I was in California in the redwood forests, they refer to the circular growth pattern as Fairy Circles and believe that the circle of younger trees grew from the "Mother" tree which eventually died and left the young trees growing from her roots. And finally, the third comment is about your oak tree. The wild boars are possibly not only digging for acorns, but for truffles which grow on the roots of the French oak. That would be worth more than the "gold"!!
@DoingItOurselvesOfficial4 жыл бұрын
Oh that’s very interesting! Never thought of that. It’s very fertile ground on the estate so maybe you’re right.

,,If we find gold we would be rich'' said the man with a Chateau with land rover and Mercedes in front of the house :D
@keandric27654 жыл бұрын
1) I don't know about the Mercedes but as for the chateau and the RR, he doesn't own either of those his brother and SIL do. 2) They're not rich, if they were they wouldn't have to host weddings and stuff to be able to "keep their head above water" as Michael's said and they'd be able to afford to do all the necessary structural and leak repairs immediately instead of having to wait until they can afford it
@Rafuschka4 жыл бұрын
@@keandric2765 It is a matter of prospective. But if you (or your family) have a property like that, I think 99% of humans would say they are rich :D
@keandric27654 жыл бұрын
@@Rafuschka You're only basing that assessment based on what it looks like Now after they've spent 3 years working on it, not what it looked like when they bought it. Based on the photos and footage Michael's show it seems like it was in Rough shape when they bought it, derelict in a lot of places. I wouldn't be surprised if they bought it for the same cost that a normal middleclass - uppermiddleclass home would cost. And part of the reason they've been able to Afford to do the work they've done so far based on everything they've said is because they've done almost all of it themselves; not only all of the renovations and maintenance/ cleaning but making all the curtains, doing the upholstery themselves, Michael said that Billy and Gwen had been collecting the furniture for like 5 years (probably from thrifting and antiquing) and restored it themselves. Also, as I mentioned the only way they're probably able to afford the taxes and maintenance and renovations and stuff for the place is by hosting weddings and renting out the guesthouse and things. The only reason they were probably even able to get the chateau was being of an inheritance (so I read someone say) and if they were just some average boring couple they probably would've bought some nice townhome or something in London and people would've thought "oh yeah that's nice" but it wouldn't have been anything out of the ordinary. Now, Could they have money / have already been upperclass before they bought it? Yeah sure of course. All I'M saying is that if you do something like this right [make sacrifices and save up, take your time to do your research, find something cheap that needs a lot of work, do said work yourself, host events to have the property pay for itself (or at least break even), maybe even go in with a number of family members or friends on a project like this, ect], you do Not have to necessarily be rich to do something like this :)
@Rafuschka4 жыл бұрын
@@keandric2765 Don't get me wrong, I grant that to them, I just thought it was a little bit ironic to say that quote because they look so rich now. I did not see the progress they made before.

The chateaux Community may well be the most ratified and brilliantly entertaining community on KZbin. And also the most interesting. I had just run out of content to binge and then I I found this channel, plus Stephanie's channel and now chateaux life aswell. Thank God. Now I have something to do for the day. Lol 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Beautiful trees, they can tell a story, over the years they must have seen so much. Great video

I my goodness, how funny the phone calls were, and when said she has moved on from gold, and held up her pearls with a roll of toilet paper, I lost it.😂😂😂🇺🇸
