Those rotors aren't in two pieces to allow the pieces to be replaced separately, they're floating brake rotors. Floating brake rotors can reach higher temperatures without warping because they are not directly bound to the center. Normally, warping from overheating happens because the rotors are hot and the center is not, at high temperatures the expanded and softer metal of the rotor loses the battle with the stronger, colder centre and buckles where the metal is hottest. Floating rotors are attached in a way that allows this to happen without stressing either the center or the rotor. An added bonus of floating rotors is that the rotor and center can be made of different materials, allowing the brakes to be lighter.

Great quick turn around, love the RS4, Glad you didn't have to sort the DRC or the Oil Cooler lines, as they are not fun, and like you said, Chain at the back of the engine is not a fun job. Sure you have been told, but you have had many many comments, as you are a popular man lol, the exhaust vacuum lines are there from the standard Audi Sport backbox, when working the vacuum holds one exhaust flap in each tail pipe open, and when you hit sport, it closes the valve, most get stuck over time if not maintained, so its a mute point, but if you want a choice, a bit of oil and patience can free them, but from time dot, in UK in any Avent, Milltek was the way to do to release the V8s full sound. Keep up the great content. Been following since the high mileage M5, and still loving the content.

The phrase "work smarter, not harder" is often attributed to Allen F. Morgenstern, an industrial engineer who developed it in the 1930s as part of a work simplification program aimed at boosting productivity without overworking employees. While the exact origin is debated and the phrase has evolved over time, Morgenstern's focus on improving work processes efficiently contributed to popularizing the concept. The idea behind it is to encourage finding more efficient ways to achieve goals rather than simply putting in more effort.

Not being critical, but when doing disk brakes, I always liked to remove the brake fluid reservoir cover and monitor and/or pull fluid out with a syringe prior to pushing pistons in. In some instances people like to keep the brake fluid topped off and when you push the pistons back in it can overflow all over the inside of engine compartment (Let's not forget how good brake fluid is at removing paint). This hasn't happened to anyone else before?

@LegitStreetCars Factory mufflers have a valve that opens with the S button, hence the air lines in the bumper, that is why you didn't notice any difference when you hit the button in the last video. S button changes the sound of the exhaust to a much deeper tone, uses more aggressive fuel maps from ECU and on some models pumps air into the driver seat side bolsters to pump them, up for a tighter seat feel.

I own a b6 s4 that’s in a very similar color with rotiform wheels! It is my first manual and first v8! It is timeless and gets heads turning anywhere I go! Great videos!

Thanks, Alex for the videos on this Audi. The car turned out beautifully and yes, I'm a big fan of the color. I hope this beauty goes to a good home. Phenomenal job by you and the body shop. This awesome 2007 car looks better than some of the 2024's that are rolling around on the streets these days.

Very nice job ! I LOVE this car I wonder why at body shop the apply filler or bondo on bare metal where a coat of epoxy primer first would be better, fillers or bondo contain some air bubbles than can trap moisture and transfer it to bare metal. Epoxy primer will make a strong waterproof barrier before any bondo, filler…

I had the 4.2liter V8 in my Audi A8 around 2002 all aluminum body Quattro! What a great ski car. I took it to seven states skiing in one year!
