Arguably one of the biggest debates in the car scene today is the battle between Real Wheel and Rep Wheels. But what exactly are Rep Wheels and why does everyone seem to not like them? In this video, Alex talks about our new feature on Martiniworks website that allows you to filter all of the wheels into 3 main categories. Inspired by Designs, Replica and Original Wheels. Simple solution? Buy what you like and what you want and what you can afford in cash... never borrow money - credit ect ect to buy ANY modification for a vehicle. My only rule I live by when messing with cars. If reps are dope then get them. Reps or real? Both will get fucked by the curb and I don't know many if any who really needs high end wheels for real performance that translate into anything meaningful...... most kids and rat boys buy these volk wheels and other 2-3k sets just to slam the shit out of the car and make it barely drivable anyway lmfao.

its more of how damaged they will be. The forged may be dented while the gravity may crack, making it unrepairable.

genuinely, alex, this is one of the best web-design features i've seen added to something in a very, very long time. this is so well thought-out, as i feel like the mix of setting up the strict-but-not-too-strict definitions outlined on its page pairs insanely well with having your userbase functionally update this new feature For you, in line with those (in my opinion, extremely correct) definitions. so props to you and/or all those that put this together. one of a kind feature done in a way that feels like it's been iterated and improved upon for the last 5-10 years.

That's a great business model for helping customers balance aesthetics, quality and price. A few years ago I went with Avid-1 AV06's on my 2020 Impreza Sport - I like the TE37 style but there is no way I'm putting $3500+ wheels on a 150hp Impreza that's my daily and not a "show car," and my research found that Avid-1's casting method is one of the better ones for overall strength. Flash-forward to last week, and I dented my third AV06 on a small rock; the Chinese aluminum just doesn't hold up to Pennsylvania roads like I need it to. Tomorrow I pick up my first set of RPF1s - a great bang-for-the-buck tried-and-tested "real" wheel, for not much more than I paid for the Avid-1s in the first place. This kind of information will save a lot of customers a lot of money experimenting with wheels that don't necessarily fit their needs. I wish you guys all the best with the company.

Nah its regular traffic. Your stickers, $200 wheels with the worse possible offset and spiked lug nuts is regular traffic and extremely tacky. Even if you just get a good set of wheels, tires, and a slight drop would be 100000% more respectable then cheap tacky accessories all over the car

Some cars are not meant to be modified and should usually remain regular traffic. It would be ultra cringe to see a nissan sentra, or toyota prius with wheels and coil overs. On the other hand, something obnoxious like a prius with a v12 and side exhausts, not regular traffic, that's funny and awesome. Another use of the phrase could be, something that could be cool, but is actually really popular or common in the non enthusiast crowd, like a mustang, or wrx, or miata that isn't modified in some sort of way, is also just regular traffic.

Alex this is an amazing feature! I will definitely be buying from you guys as soon as I’m able to. One suggestion that I’d love to make is adding the weight info to each of the wheels, I was going through a few sets of enkeis in different widths and offsets on your site and they all weighed “26lbs”. You could even add a filter sorting the wheels from lightest to heaviest, please make it happen this would be amazing!

This is awesome. great work guys! I have another suggestion though. please, PLEASE take separate preview photos for every width/offset/diameter of a wheel model. Pretty much all wheel retailers will use a preview photo of the most aggressive and cool looking size and use that for every size option. It's very misleading when you order 18x8.5 et45 wheel and when it arrives it looks nothing like the 18x10 et20 wheel that was shown in the product preview image.

2 types of forged. Forged billet then CNC the spokes vs Die forged that BBS, Rays, TWS doing (note is taneisya Japan, not TSW, there is no typo).

But I had/have some Kranze Vishunu wheels for like a decade and never cared about them, but I put some XXR wheels on my car and people went crazy when I said that 😂😂😂.
