I am a contractor and 15 or 20 years ago I would’ve agreed with you but bathrooms are so insanely expensive to redo. If you’re going to be in your house for the next 20 years I would absolutely say pick something more neutral and then use other ways to provide accents in the bathroom. If you only anticipate being in your house for less than 10 years then maybe you could get by with more interesting, less safe designs.

I didn't know shower heads were in style or not? For that matter, who cares?
@starflower7033 күн бұрын
I completely agree that when one is making design choices there are several things to consider. 1) Resale. If you choose something unusual or “in style” what happens if buyers don’t like it. And before anyone says we aren’t moving, who cares? I am a prime example of someone who thought she would never move again and then my husband died and I had to sell my house. 2) Fads go out of style very quickly. If you choose something in style that could go out of style, it’s gets really expensive to replace things like tile and flooring. Light fixtures and faucets are cheaper and easier to replace. 3) Classic decor is the best choice. You can decorate with things that are easily replaced; but cabinets, flooring, and tile are very labor intensive and expensive.

Having had three babies, I did not have so many articles at my fingertips, as I do now with my phone. We went through all the baby stages without much reference. We just asked friends or referred to a book or two. But, I'm now so used to looking up everything and I always want to learn more. I found one called: Your Baby's Sleep Schedule In The First Year - by Healthline, (2019). Feeding more often whenever they are hungry, but having more daylight activities, but napping with baby whenever, all have an impact on in achieving that 6 hour stretch of sleep at night. They eventually develop it on their own, but with a little daytime engineering. When they are up to speed on their weight, and ready to sleep longer hours at night, helping them not sleep those longer hours during the day is all it takes. But I would not ignore giving more food at night and they need their mom for all the usual reasons. Eventually their little bodies can wait 'til breakfast. I think Allie looks so happy with her family and all the homemaking activities. Also, when Mom eats more, baby can get more calories. I had a friend who had more milk for her baby by drinking half and half. Good luck on your endeavors.

The mouse scat is not something that has gone wrong, its a fact of life. When we moved into our farmhouse I found the little creeps almost right away and let them know they were not welcome in my house. Didn't do much good...Living in the country, with points of entry into the house (anything quarter size-depending on your mouse specie) and a warmer space than outside are all HUGE draws. Biggest thing you can do is to block ALL holes going into the envelope of the house. Foam worked for me outside, inside all holes were filled with steel wool and never leave doors open for access. Its an annual process sadly. Oh, and once its finished don't ever leave food where they can get at it. Anything in plastic or cardboard goes into a container to keep mice out. Good luck!

Mom of seven here, sad to hear you’re not sleeping I hope you find a solution. One suggestion that has been given to me before is that maybe the baby is going through a growth spurt and needs more food during the day so the blood sugar drop isn’t waking him up at night. Also, making sure he gets enough stimulation and activity during the day. Good luck, Mama!❤

Trent, we had a similar wierd thing when testing our shower & tub. Long story short it turned out to be a balancing spool in the shower & bath valves. What they did was prevent water flow when we only had hot or cold on. That is only one supply at a time. Once we turned on bothe hot & cold simultaneously everything was normally predictable. We spoke with Moen several times, replaced several cartridges until one rep knew something about the spooler valves.

Could be teething with Billy, which caused our daughter really bad ear pain as well as ear infections and then tonsillitis. It’s no walk in the park being a parent, but you know what you’ve got this, you live to tell the tale and looking at our children grow is the best job in the world. Cut yourself some flack and if it’s coffee and bagels that do it for you then so be it, as a mom of two babies as well as KZbin etc you certainly deserve a treat or two.
