I grew up in Wyoming where we drank "pop." When I joined the Navy and moved to Virginia, it was my first time in a place where they drink "soda." I remember how really weird it sounded to me. Now I'm so accustomed to hearing it, I sometimes use it myself.

Go to an indoor rock climbing gym. It will give you a feel for climbing and a chance to learn the gear. Then tackle climbing outdoors. Both are fun!

while you were in the bentonville/Fayetteville area of Arkansas you should have checked out Crystal Bridges Museum…nice place. My son lives there and works at Walmart Home Office and loves going there….also there is a rock climbing gym in Bentonville…so maybe that would be a safe place to start rock climbing ….wish I was there…so i could visit my son. I live over 12 hours away…so visiting is hard

When I was a machinist I learned that heat travels very fast thru aluminum. Faster than other metals. That also means that it lets go of heat very fast too. But I'm surprised you can pick it up straight out of a fire

They're not super exciting but another area treat food wise is a taco place called Taco Johns. I think it's better than the bell. They're mostly in the midwest. It's a place that I enjoy but I grew up with it and its more of that than it being authentic or super special. Braums is good regional food too.

The burger/ ice cream/ food store was allowed to stay open during Covid because they sold groceries. It saved them from having to close and maybe go out of business my cousin told me who lives on Oklahoma.. The national parks are great and inexpensive if you get an America the Beautiful pass. It's worth the cost.

Here in OK, we call it soda, pop or most frequently “a coke” even when f you want Dr. pepper. At Brauns, a soda is an ice cream drink made with ice cream, soda water and a topping mixed in, like chocolate, strawberry or hot fudge.

The desert may not have the green, but spring in the desert is awesome. Then, (if in the Phoenix/Mesa area) you can drive 1 1/2 hr and be in the mountains. I’m from Arizona but live in Louisiana now (which I absolutely hate). Lol. Did you ever say which state park you were at…it looks really nice

Fun road trip! Oklahoma is a beautiful state! At the risk of being too nosey (I don't mean this as a judgement - just curious!) Do you ever wish you had a window in the sliding door? I guess you probably keep your door open a lot but just seems like opening the door with the sudden glare of outside is a shock 😂 Another question is, are you going to eventually make a private toilet room/area so you don't have to turn the whole van into one? That would be a big negative for me and my husband. I mean, I know everyone does what they are most comfortable with but it seems awkward when you have to kick everyone out😳 Safe travels!

I'm sure you know, but at least get a cheap major medical policy. Usually very inexpensive per month. They have larger deductibles..usually 5 or 10K. But better than a 900K hospital bill. Love your videos! :)
