We Found A Secluded Wild Camping Spot In The Lake District
After a long hard look we ended up in the most perfect wild camping spot I've found in the Lake District, secluded right under a large Crag. What an idyllic spot to pitch the Nordisk mansion.
Me and my buddy Leon are tackling Blea Tarn and all its challenges.
We were really struggling to find any sort of decent pitch on this camp due to heavy rain for what seems like 500 years! From soggy ground to finding shelter under a crag, reason I've found is that under these mammoth rocks a lot of the time, has limestone which is a great natural drainage system. The Nordisk Oppland 2 Si tent really held up yet again and it was the first time Leon had actually seen it!
When it comes to grub, we're keeping it simple but tasty. Leon's cooking up a storm with a beef dish and Fire Cracker Sauce, while I'm trying out some camping meals with an Ikea twist.
We'll also be featuring another episode the now world famous "Tails From The Tent" and I show off some gear essentials, like the Thermarest Neoair Xtherm NXT and the cozy Thermarest Honcho Poncho - perfect for those chilly nights but these will feature in another couple of video's so stay tuned for those.
And of course, we can't forget about breakfast and a good ol' cup of joe and a Mcdonal's favorite, the egg McMuffin (would have been bacon and egg but Leon forgot the bacon yo!)

Always head for large Crags if in a boggy area, a great source of drainage. Hahaha! There's no better pasty than Cornish, I need yo try yours though yet. But again that's Cornish or is it Devonish 🤔 😆

You know you're in Bolton when a pasty shops within short walking distance 😂 least it wasn't too boggy or you'd have lost your trainers.. I get tentsomnia but using a good pillow really helped me last time. Slept really well

Haha, it's true that Phil, got one on the road 2 mins from my house haha. Oh mate, it was horrendous, feet completely soaked. Sank a load of times. Certainly won't make that mistake again. Boots or wellies permanently in the boot now. I slept like a baby on the new pad so I was OK 😆
