Wow! "Put together by patches and prayers!" I love that ironic line; it always rings a bell. But "surviving the end of the universe," that's bold, right at where sci-fi usually stops; too bad it did not follow that line. Thank you for another great story and a surprising twist toward the end; hopefully, you can keep it up; it's hard to get bored listening to your stories. Good job!

cool story and narration. "nuke the entire site from orbit. its the only way to be sure." cool quote but somehow it broke my immersion. at least it was at the end. I guess in movies or longer stories it might have just been lost with a smile.

Well done. Though it seemed to take the crew several days to evolve at first. But at Hera it seemed to only take minutes for the inhabitants to change. Just came across as a little convenient for story pace.

both more horrifing than this story, some of it just feels like it was written by a transhumanist fetishist who gets off on wanting to be a machine :/.... there is no horror here, and the only "horror" bits the writer skimmed over because he can't write horror, he's a fetishist and a nihilist :/ that once again isn't horror its boring.
