We Found Out One Of Us Is A Cupcake Cheater, Baby Loves Sunsets & Baths! | Home Vlog

In today's vlog we do some yard work, which normally wouldn't be fun but because we're stuck at home it was nice to get outside and get some sunshine! wWe got the baby a new pack n play, which should come in handy when we can finally go out and do stuff. Then we had some pizza and gave the baby a bath and showed him the sunset. We're not sure if he's really seen a sunset yet so it was awesome to be able to share that moment with him, he really seemed to take it all in, we think he liked it! Then we ate more cupcakes! One of use won the double reeses cupcake challenge! I'm still not sure what I won but I did get 2 candies in my cupcake lol. Then tricky Tim tried to tell me that he got 2 candies in his cupcake but the lie detector determined that was a lie lol! All in all we had a fun night, we hope you had a good time hanging out with us at home! Thank you for watching and we hope to see you tomorrow at the live show!

About the Pack-N-Play, the hard four sided cover you took off first folds out flat and goes in the Pack-n-Play down on the bottom to make a firm base and then put the quilted cover over it. Then its more firm less trampoline. Sleep well Jackson.

Outdoor Pack-n-play hack - take a crib sheet and stretch it over the top for bug and sun protection. Saved my little ones from lots of bug bites! Jackson is so sweet that I’m sure the bugs will want to eat him alive!

You should def look at a solar heater for the pool. It’s an investment that we are thankful for everyday! We’re in Orlando and don’t swim til the water is at least 85 degrees. Water temp and air temp are totally different! With the solar heater we can comfortably use our pool from March through October, sometimes beyond.

I used to live in NJ and we had a solar cover and kept the pool at 90. Loved it 😊

I really love your relationship, Tim & Jenn. I grew up (literally started watching in middle school & now I’m in my junior year of college) watching what y’all shared together and I find so many little similarities and quirks between your relationship and mine. I LOVE that my husband and I are just as open with each other as you guys are. I love that we love spending time together. I love that we love trying new things. I love that we both want to move to Orlando and spend some time at the parks. I truly think that watching you guys while I grew up shaped how I wanted my marriage to be. So many relationships I know have fallen apart during quarantine, but I feel as thought my marriage has become stronger (yours also looks as though it has gotten a lot stronger.)

Yes. Jenny is correct. 78° water is cold. Our body temperature is 98°.... that is cold water Tim! We keep our pool at 89-93°. Ahhhhh!!! Florida living!

I meant to mention sitting up comes usually before crawling, because it's easier to get to the floor from a front sitting position. But some babies may not. But start practicing sitting up as much as he does tummy time. He'll crawl in no time!!

One of the most helpful things for me to feel more “normal” is keeping a to-do list journal! Every morning i write down things i wanna do and then before bed i cross out what i did and add additional things i did that i didn’t plan on. It makes the days blur together a little less and also feels a little better to know what I’m doing with my time. Even if its just listing the tv shows/movies I’ve watched it’s a small bit of sanity for me!

I always make the Hershey’s kiss cookies, I use my grandmas recipe for them & they’re called Peanut Butter Blossoms! The trick is to roll the dough into balls, bake them, then you put the kiss on top when it’s fresh out of the oven!

I agree with you about the pool, Jenn, our body temperatures are over 98°, so that means that the pool is 20° colder than we are...brrr! I like it at about 84°.

If you can find yeast, I recommend the King Arthur Flour Crispy Cheesy Pan Pizza...I make it at least once a week. It’s not quite deep dish, but the crust is pillowy and delicious. You make the dough, stretch and fold it in the bowl (no kneading), then refrigerate it for 12 - 72 hours until you’re ready to make it. I bake it in a springform pan, but you can use a round cake pan, cast iron skillet, etc. Their website has great videos to help along the way. Buon appetito!

You 3 bring joy to me during this crazy time. Thank you for allowing us in to your lives. Yes 78 is freezing for a pool. We are in California I heated my pool to 86 and it’s perfect. Jackson will love it at about 88 lol. My kids are grown but grew up swimming and the warmer the better. Also I have that same palm tree in my back yard. You are smart to get rid of those flowering things but wear gloves those things are sharp. Keep up the happiness and be safe.

Jen is right! 78 degrees in water feels cooler than 78 in air, because, due to the water being roughly 1000x denser than air, it convects and conducts heat away from your body WAY faster than in air.

I liked the opening when Jenn said Home Vlog before Tim. He is always tricking her when he says it first. It was nice she said it before him today. The Hershey kisses are placed on the hot cookie as soon as you take them out of the oven. If you touch them after you place them on the hot cookie, before the cookie cools it is soft and melty. You are supposed to wait for the cookie to cool to eat them!

The specific heat capacity between air and water are different. This makes it seem that water is cooler than the air temperature. If you feel a granite counter top an a wood cutting board that have been sitting at the same temp for the same amount of time, the granite will feel colder than the wood cutting board even though they are at the same temperature. Difference being the specific heat capacity of the different material.

The chocolate doesn’t fall apart for two reasons: it’s been tempered, which encourages the sugars to remain “stable” and in the same state (same reason why you have to agitate it when you melt chocolate in the microwave), and also because when warmed chocolate hits cooler air, it stiffens it to make kind of a shell that “protects” the rest of the chocolate

I HATE yardwo9rk! :) I didn't get allergies until about 5 years ago (I'm almost 60!), but hey have been BAD this year - I think because it's bee n a relatively warm, and rainy winter her in the NorthEast. Pizza looked REALLY good, especially side, with the mushrooms and pepperoni, that's my fave (sometimes with black olives too)l. I used to bathe my daughter at this age everyday bc it helped her sleep at night. Plus if you think about it going every other day not bathing after peeing and pooping yourself you'd feel disgusting lol so I always bathed her every night. If your going to purchase cast iron, look into Geoffrey Zakarian non stick. No stick easy clean up and no seasoning it. And you don't have to worry about it rusting. Deep dish pan pizza is fun to make. Have fun Love your family. You brings smiles to my life which hasn't gone so well this year...yet..but it will change.
