i wouldnt say its easy to mod it might be but this is one of those games were mods easily make the game crash. Ive tried using that mod before Insym and it just didnt work. Side Note: I might have a idea why it didnt work its because of the mimic mod and maybe others since the mimic mod adds extra fire exits and the SCP foundation mod changes their looks a bit when it gets chosen as the facility... idk.

Dedicated inventory slots for tools should definitely be a thing in vanilla, like being a purchase upgrade that lets you keep a flashlight/walkie/lockpicker/radar booster or other combinations of non-combat equipment. Once you get to high level moons there is so much loot to carry while also specific tool utility becomes mandatory(getting Lockpicker for mansions and radar booster for flash strat), so having this be more efficient without adding OP mods would be stellar. Also I wish toolbelts would allow you to keep equipment when teleported, would give inverse tele a huge boost in usefulness.

the goal of the game and why its so good, is because of how useless and exposable you feel at times, the shovel and flashlight and walkie talkie seem like something you should always have but take up alot of inventory space. the teleporter also isnt made for saving people (it can still be used that way) , but for bringing their corpses back so the company doesnt lose money

The strat of only dropping loot outside hoping that someone else will bring it back to the ship has backfired many times lol. Even in larger groups people die too often so you can't rely on others to bring stuff back. Everyone should make 2 trips back to the ship imo. Except ship mom but ship mom can still make 1 quick trip early on when there's no monsters yet.

It looks like they fixed loot spawns in the SCP dungeon so you may want to try it again. Also there is a monster hunter mod that will allow you to collect bounties after you kill monsters. I'd love to see Insym and friends play that as well.
