for patching stuff like paddle board, dingy, diving gear "Aquaseal" glue works really-really well, after opening it keep it in the freezer and it will not "dry up" and can be stored almost forever. get 8 0z tube :)

Such a good video. Love the peaceful anchorage you found. Montserrat is quite amazing… I flew over the volcano on a helicopter trip they did from Antigua…was a really great experience… but quite some time ago now. Keep safe… ❤

You guys should try kite fishing. The rig is very inexpensive and works very well. The kite holds the line out of the water and the fish don't see the line, only the bait or lure.

The Kitties look like life is just too hard. They have obviously landed on their backs with you two looking after them. Makes me want one too. I tried to coax a dock cat onboard yesterday but he just wasn’t quiet game enough to jump onboard. 😜
@LeadingtheEscapadeАй бұрын
We actually feel guilty sometimes that they don’t get to explore much because it can be really hard to get them off the boat without them stressing too much. It’s funny isn’t it, they’re living such a better life now, they probably would’ve been dead if we left them but we still feel guilty 😅 hahah I love that!!! ❤️

@@LeadingtheEscapade they are happiest in the smallest of places. They only know their world. I once took my cat on holiday in a motorhome for 2 weeks. He spent the whole trip under the front seat in the spare tyre wheel. Only came out at midnight to pee. Once he got adventurous and went out the van to explore then a storm struck so he hid under the exhaust all night. We had a helping a job getting him out of there.
@LeadingtheEscapadeАй бұрын
@OspreySailingAdventures-ch1mj oh no poor little bugger! Yes I totally agree with you there, think I just feel bad that they get bored sometimes. We need better toys 😅 when we see them explore on land at Marina’s etc we see how much they love sniffing around and exploring and I think that’s what makes us feel guilty

I would recommend Montserrat and a guided tour. Anchoring there can be very uncomfortable so choose the weather window carefully. We got two nights there before we had to escape from the swells.
@LeadingtheEscapadeАй бұрын
Oh cool thanks for the tip!! We’re going to see how we go on our journey north again, the angle might be a bit crap getting there but it would be a really cool experience. Yeah it doesn’t look ideal for anchoring hey 😅

You mentioned the US Virgin Islands and mail accessibility. I live on St Croix and I work in the cargo logistics industry and if you were ever going to sail over here and had questions, I would be happy to be a resource for you.

Hey Andy! Ahh amazing thankyou so much! We’ll be coming that way around Christmas/new year 😆 I’ve been told from friends you can pretty much directly have Amazon packages delivered in USVI’s? We should have most other things sorted before then as we plan to send some stuff through freight forwarders to St Martin as it’s tax free but we’d love any tips or advice for if we need to in USVI 😆🫶🏼

@LeadingtheEscapadeАй бұрын
If only there was enough room, that upgrade might have to wait til we get a bigger boat 😂

With a shower change you will have to change the name of the boat to Caligula .

Soldering connections is a no no. Crimps are preferred. Dont use the automotive crimps, use real marine crimps preferably with heat shrink insulation sleves and then hide the connection inside sealant filled heat shrink tubing. Soldering the wire causes solder to travel up the copper by capillary action leaving a heat affected hard spot where the solder ends and any vibration or movement (its a boat!) will cause the wire to break. Ask any very experienced marine electrical persoon or very experienced yachtie...
@LeadingtheEscapadeАй бұрын
@@deerfootnz thanks for the suggestion. And yesss we actually do this 😆 we got all the stuff although from memory I think we were missing a couple of sizes at the time. Although Jase prob just calls it soldering even though he’s using all this gear because he’s using the heat gun for the heat shrink haha
