On today's adventure we pick up where we left off last week and make our way to the backyard. This one had a lot of work to do, and we did it all! A variety of equipment was used in this one including a wheeled string trimmer and a pressure cleaner! The yard breathed a sigh of relief as it was rescued from itself!

Great job! The lawn was basically all weeds. I mark down yards like this and come back very early spring and ask the client if they would like me to totally till the yard up and start a new lawn by treating and re seeding or sod. I am always looking for projects in the late fall on early spring. ☺

Huge fan here in Albany, New York. How wonderful that you actually weeded her gardens rather than just hacking it away. I love it when you pull out the rake or the shovel and do hand work. And there’s something about watching you use a push mower versus the riding mower… I prefer when you use the push mower. But congratulations on the big piece of equipment. That’s quite an accomplishment.

That was quite a nice gift of time and skills. The backyard was no longer usable, and you reversed that. Good use of your push style String Trimmer. I'm impressed with how well it turned-out and by your "extra" of the power washing, that made it look quite renewed. Like that you thought to make sure there was enough room to be able to hang out clothes and to mulch areas needing to hold moisture and keep down weeds. The yard looks very welcoming and neat now.

A couple things I've learned that might help you power wash. Since you don't have the attachment to do large surfaces like driveways, there is a "typically" black tip nozzle that sprays in a cone shape but has a spinner inside the tip. This one cleans a bit better and blends the area you've sprayed so less lines are left. The other tip is clear a small area, then spray away with you standing on the clear area you just did. Push the dirty water away from you and towards the other dirty areas you still need to spray. This allows your overspray to soak in a bit and help loosen the dirt so you spend less time spraying. Hope this makes sense. The black cone shape nozzle that has the internal spinning tip made doing my driveway soooo much quicker and nicer looking than my green top flat spray nozzle.

@@BladeMateLawnCare Good suggestions for pressure washing! I would add, start from the top of the slope, too, so gravity pulls the dirty water away from where you have done. It isn't always possible to do so, but often you can and it makes less work for you! Love you big guy!
