The sound of dry firewood being dumped never gets old, blowing pins all day long💪 I was gonna say you need to lube up that pivot pin, I think you did good with your purchase price too. It's a well made trailer.

@@LogCabinFirewood thanks man! I’ll have to set the microphone closer to it next time so we get the full bowling pin effect lol. And yes I’m gonna have to add grease fittings to that pivot pin. For now I think I’ll get some kind of spray lube for it. That creaking is gonna drive me plumb crazy. I think it is a very well built trailer as well. Just some things that I would like to be different.

Decent looking trailer man, it looks like it raises up to a great angle too. I like the gravity down on mine unless it’s below 50° outside and it comes down really slow. Good job man 👍

@@ShermanLawncareAndFirewood thanks man! Yes I think it raises up to a perfect angle. We shall see how it gravity downs this winter. I’m pretty sure they have just regular ol hydraulic fluid in it. My fathers trailer uses atf and I think that helps when it was cold out.

Thank you very much!!! Wonderful video and i do agree that it needs the grease serks on the pivots. Thanks Gerrit

Dude thanks for this video! I’m one foot in the market for one of these things and after delivering a cord of wood with a 6 ft bed this past weekend (3 trips) it just shot up the list. Any idea what gauge steel? I glanced on the website and didn’t see anything glaring.
@KampsKorner3 ай бұрын
@@FoothillsFirewood it’s either 10 or 11 gauge. I can’t remember off the top of my head. I used to have side boards on my old pick up. I know exactly how ya feel man. I’m glad we got this one. It will hold exactly 2 cords stacked. I was borrowing my fathers trailer for a while when he didn’t need it. I decided it was time to get our own.
@FoothillsFirewood3 ай бұрын
@@KampsKorner I don’t normally deliver cords (mainly because there’s plenty of people who will do it cheaper than I will) but seldomly I have customers that just want my wood and they’re willing to pay full priced face cord x3 so I do it. In fact the next video I’m editing now is a cord delivery and the entire time I was doing it I thought man I need to get this dump trailer lol.

@@FoothillsFirewood nice man! In my area, selling in bulk is pretty much the only way. A lot of people heat with wood. That’s why I decided to be able to haul 2 cords at once. And yes, dump trailers are the ticket. They have many uses. I’m always hauling something with ours. Look forward to seeing that new video!
