I've had a 8.5 x 20 v-nose cargo trailer that was purchased new 15 years ago. I've never once said, "I wish I had bought a smaller trailer." Best thing ever for hauling random stuff. Going up a ramp door is way better than loading heavy or awkward items into the bed of a truck.

It’s a lawn service because I suggested you go with a less expensive mower like a Cub cadet since you don’t have that much to mow. Kevin replied and said there’s a reason we went with the mower we did, wait and see. I’m curious if you’ll do both ranching and lawn service.

@PavingNewPaths - You can always wrap the trailer you decide on. Leverage the lack of your preferred color into negotiating the price down. Maybe you can haggle it down enough to cover the wrap price? Plan B if time allows, order the one you want. PS whatever trailer you decide on needs polished wheels, like the truck :)

Kevin... on your new trailer, install the max air fan for sure but also apply 2 coats of Henry's Tropicool silicone treatment .... it will keep your inside temps down tremendously!! Install a couple round fans up in the front corners and when you drive those mowers inside it'll be a good cool blast!!

Speaking from experience…..get the trailer with the highest axle rating, wall thickness, height, and options up front that you can afford. All are not things you can change after the fact. IF you are getting into lawn care, like we all think, get the longest you can easily maneuver in your area. Long trailers suck on roundabouts and culdesacs. I have found a 16’ to be very good and way better than the 18’ I have previously. Also, consider a dovetail on the trailer, prevents low mowers and such from scraping on unlevel surfaces.

Definitely get a 20 footer with the tallest ceiling. It makes a big difference on what you can put in it, if you ever want to put a side by side in it and have room for a few other things a 20 footer is a must. Plus if you ever decide to sell it a 20 footer is a lot easier to resell.
