This is such a well done video! We just sent our application for a whippet pup that was born last week and will be ready in about a month and a half. I've cared for several dogs, but all were adult rescues including a fresh off the track greyhound. The puppy experience will be very different, I'm sure.

Definitely very different to getting an older dog hah - a couple of things that we didn't do that in hindsight we should've was having him off leash early on when he was still slower than us to get him used to staying close to build up recall, socialising him off-leash more early on (he's met loads of dogs but mostly on-leash and is quite feisty when he plays off leash now) and nailing the separation training nice and early. Anyway - enjoy! The first couple of nights are hard!

He's adorable! I too had never had a puppy before and ended up with a Covid foster puppy, close to full grown though. She's mine permanently now of course. I also had rescue greyhounds in the past. BIG difference. I'm looking forward to the next installment.

Beautiful Ziggy 😍 we got our little Maya 4 weeks ago and boy were those first nights hard 😩. We also had a rescue greyhound previously. Graceful, peaceful, way too big for our cottage but never a problem. Now we have a tiny terror!! Whining, biting, scratching with her velociraptor claws😱 she’s also the sweetest little thing ever when she’s sleepy 🥰 please tell me there’s light at the end of this tunnel and not too far away 😬😂xx

Yeahh haha that summarises it well! Actually after a month or two at home he become really lovely. But then more recently, since finishing and uploading this video, I have jynxed myself and he's turning into a nightmare again! So enjoy months 3 to 7!

So true used to breed whippets never remember them being as hard as this. Tried to turn back time and buy a whippet pup. She was so quiet at first out 18 year old jackrussel was still boss of the house.. Ugh ugh not for long this cute little pup is a whirlwind. From attacking our old boy to peeing / Pooing as soon as you get her in from the garden.. Can't wait for her to calm down and take her out to tire her out. But she is part of us now so happy days
