Got robbed twice in Pretoria, once while 19 cops nearby paid no attention, in 1992. Before 🇿🇦. Were they in on the deal? Got robbed in Matroosfontein by a very nervous gunman. Where I live in Cape Town, we go to swim even after 9pm and walk outside even during loadshedding BUT my wife was robbed of our 6 day old superzoom Canon in Cape Town CBD. My son once was confronted by a huge male baboon in his house in the South Peninsula. He had to protect his three huge dogs, as a baboon loves to rip out the intestine. Baboons here are over protected and have no natural enemies. Time to reintroduce leopards and a few pythons.

Well, the fact is that South Africa is a very dangerous place for tourists to be. The most beautifull country but very sadly screwed up by the ANC govt in SA. If a tourist company portray SA as a safe country they have no conscience. In many instances the public do not even contact the police because of their poor response and incompetence. In the Eastern Province alone in the last financial were sued for R 7 BILLION . I know this is old but please get your facts correct . The term Cape of Good Hope is what the Cape was called and you went to Cape Point and the signs tell you the area not a spot . By saying you were mugged gives Cape Town a bad name .
