So good to know that there’s a Skye Life community, here in the midland! You’re an inspiration to us all Sarah, Willie and pups! X

It's nice to think of wild-caught fish and seafood as better for the environment than cows, chickens, and pigs, and maybe they are to a degree, but this is a good reminder that everything has an impact.

Well done to you both, the Loughborough team and Ally for the great beach cleaning effort. Such a shame that it will probably get replaced by more debris from the fishing industry, on the next tide. I hope you don't mind but I have shared this video with the Marine Conservation Society, a charity I support and they were full of praise for your efforts and they loved Jack Spaniels and Nori too!

Very few people visit the beaches. The majority of litter is flotsam from the fishing industry.

Well done on the clean up, I wish more people were like us. I live in a village and we have a local clean up every month. It's so sad that others can't see the damage litter does to our environment and wildlife. Sarah I loved your painting of the Highland coo last week. So super talented. ❤

The planet thanks you for all your work cleaning up the beaches and forest. You might consider getting a ‘come along’. It’s a winch you attach to a tree usually, and your vehicle, and it pulls you out of a ditch or whatever.

It's so amazing how much the fishing nets are just disgarded by the boats!! Thank you for cleaning up, it's something that's needed and you're probably one of the few people that do that on the waters edge and in the woods. Wow! Good on you two for your environmental efforts. As for traction concerns with Yolanda, I find that airing down our tires by 10-15 psi makes a big difference when off-roading in our Jeep Wrangler. Less air pressure means that there is a big increase in the “tire to road surface” contact area. Thus, more traction area. Plus, the ride is much smoother. Once you get back onto a more “normal” driving surface, don’t forget to air back up. I don’t know how much air you inflate to. We carry just under 40psi normally in our “larger than stock” tires. I would air down to 25-30psi for that muck that you were driving through. You just don’t want to air down too much such that you “break the bead” between your tire and your rim.

Here in the States it's considered great fun to get your 4 wheel drive vehicle stuck in wet mud and then getting it out again. Most of these folks have winches mounted, carry plenty of cable, and stand around afterward drinking a well-earned beer and admiring the great quantities of mud covering their vehicles. Glad that you two got out so easily!

Absolutely brilliant effort by all the volunteers, well done everyone involved! I love a good beach clean.
