The one thing I have found about camping and life in general is that you never know who is watching to take advantage of crimes of opportunity. I always bring a solar powered motion activated light that I can hang on a post or tree. Yes a few raccoons will activate it but that is what you want. @@jeffbeckychudek4675 other than the uptick of female murders in our national parks, bears won't eat electronics, electronics and non food valuables should be kept close. The common anti-bear strategy I am told by regular back wood travelers is to suspend the food from a tree and not on the ground. bears are known to open car doors as well as cabin doors to get in......a cooler would be a minor obstacle for a hungry bear. To go one step further, your body exudes what you eat and drink and bears go by smell and according to sources: The distance a bear can smell depends on the type of bear, but it's generally in the range of a few miles to over 40 miles, I hope that helps you understand and that's without the human element issue

The older I get, the more I see this truth played out from the insects in the world to the whales in the sea. Every creature is in a struggle to survive, and some humans as well. Maybe be more cautious and aware of your vulnerabilities, and be sure to mitigate them with extra resources (people, places, things) if you’re going to live an adventure lifestyle. ❤

Sorry about your stuff getting stolen. That sucks. It happened to us @ a campground one summer. They took our bug light & electric cord while by passing thousands of dollars of fishing gear in the boat. Guess they was getting bit by bugs. I got up to let our dogs out to use the restroom & noticed it was missing. Went up to the main office to report it & as we was doing that looked across the road & I be damned there it was hanging up with the orange cord. As we was up @ the office people started coming up to report their missing items, so the police was called & we knew who & where our things where due to the bug light. Police got there & people who's stuff got taken collected them & all because of that bug light I solved the case... lol... We also had there beer cans on the back bumper of our camper. Who steels a bug light ? Then puts it up so the person who they stole it from can see it from their campsite. There campsite was literally 50 steps away from our site. Stupid robbers with a screw loose or to drunk to realize what an idiot they are.🤣🤣🤣🤣 When they arrested the guy, they also found drugs in their camper. Moral of the story is. If your going to steal from your neighbors, don't display it up & get caught. Plus, don't use drugs kids. It's not worth going to jail over a $50 dollar bug light & a $25.00 extension cord that's bright orange. Hey Gloria, when you get a house ask Ecoflow for there big power stations so you can run your whole house off those battery packs. I've got 2 of the big boys. So if I lose power I'm covered. Please be safe. You need away to protect yourself. Your stuff can be replaced but you can't. Keeping you in my thoughts & prayers sweetheart. God bless, Chris
