@@billeh60 this literally isn’t true. i didn’t grow up going to sleepovers and i’ve had the same best friends for 12 years (i’m 24 now). she wasn’t saying they can’t hang out with friends at ALL, but drew the line at sleepovers. people are weirdos and the trauma is not worth it, it stays with you forever

My mom never let me sleep over at my friend’s house. I used to think she was overreacting. Now, as an adult hearing so many stories from other people, I am so grateful that she chose to do that.

I feel the same way. I used to hate my parents for isolating me, but knowing what I know now, I'd rather live my life with no close friends and no sleepovers then put trust in the wrong people and come out of it with trauma and resentment towards my parents for something way crazier than just them being helicopter parents.

I’m a guy but I 100% agree with no sleep overs. Too many secret creeps out there. I’d hope my kids would grow to understand why I did that and if they still hate me for it then idc as long as I kept them safe.

That's unreasonably overprotective. The proper thing to do is to get to know the parents first and maybe do some activities together where the kids are playing and the parents are also becoming familiar with each other before allowing a sleepover.

Also i love how he suddenly seems comfortable with idea of getting married and having kids, as opposed to when he was with Dev and could never picture that kind of future with her even though she kept nagging him about it. wow i was confused as to why this video felt so calm and more kind all around - like respecting all opinions of the podcast participants - and after reading one of these comments I am realizing that it is the absence of Kennedy. I am a loooooong time fan and started out with Kennedy before also watching Claudia, Brandon, Jen, Papa Walsh, and Jesse’s channels, and used to really love Kennedy. But I loved her because she was relatable…I can’t relate to her personality now because it’s kind of harsh. Hope she actually is doing better and not just drastically changing her personality hoping it will help her problems go away.

As someone who my mom prevented me from sleeping over at many friends homes, I am so thankful. Most of my friends would come to my home and we had fun times!! There was a scenario where I begged my mom (I was young) to sleep at my friends home. She refused and I was devastated at the time. Come to find out years later, their dad had cameras in private areas of the home and did who knows what to his own kids!!! I’m so thankful my mom had stricter rules for me growing up. I feel for that family and all they had to go through

5:36 I got nerve damage permanently- I have a rare connective tissue disorder and the dentist when removing my teeth thought he’d got a little further and dig and get my wisdom tooth that was in the broken jaw joint I had at the time; and now I have permanent nerve damage throughout my left face. I’m on meds that help during the day but at night you’d think I’m cold my jaw trembles and spazzes along with my face - and there’s NOTHING they can do. They charged me $1500 for nerve damage and left me toothless 😂 I have teeth now & I’ve had nerve damage for a few years now, I’ve learned to live with it. But it shocks me the things people do for the cosmetic appeal because of the risks that come along with it. 😭

Ive heard some crazy nursing stories from a head nurse of the NICU before ... And incredibly sad too .. seen some pics too .. just so sad hearing some of the stories... And they really do experience trauma .. if their patient dies after they tried so hard to save them, they can be depressed for like a whole day or week over it and I actually saw this happen before where something happened like that to someone I know and they were legit depressed for days maybe a week . They worked on that premie for like a few weeks or so and they had made a bond and formed a connection and they passed... Actually really depressing to see and hear their stories and see how it affects them too. Must be very strong mentally to do it

I understand Claudia's fear of sleepovers, but personally some of my best childhood memories were sleepovers with friends. I wouldn't have connected with friends in the same way if I hadn't had sleepovers. Be cautious, but if you're too controlling it can cause other problems, and you don't want your child to miss out on being a kid.

33:10 Everyone else disagrees with Claudia but with how normal it is for influencers to have unwilling strangers in their videos I think it’s refreshing to have someone whose job it is to make content keep other people in mind. So, W to Claudia!

Please do not judge all Christians based off of your personal experiences with a few that claim to be Christian. Extremely disrespectful.

Just to let you know, even if you go to the county jail once you’re booked your an inmate that’s not just for prison or anything like that and you can still have a felony and be a criminal in the county jail as well !! Your mom was just in a holding, so she was not all the way booked into the jail, which is why her experience is a lot different than usual! *the more you know* 😂

I agree with Claudia on the no sleepover thing. Going to public school and not having sleep overs are not the same thing

I honestly agree with Claudia’s opinion abt sleep overs bc it is the ppl who u r the closest with that will do things like that to you at least in my case, that’s y when I have kids they will not be sleeping over no one’s house let alone be in a room alone with older ppl, they might hate me but one day they’ll understand, one of my friends moms wouldn’t let her sleep over anyone’s house until she was like 16 she hated it but I’ve always sympathized with her mother bc ik she was just trying to protect her. Although I will be sending my kids to private schools bc school shooting mostly happen in public schools and that’s really scary.
