You guys need a grass seed spreader for your sidewalk salt... It's sooo much quicker and easier... I've been using the same one for 5 years now. "Turf builder". It's spreads it nice and evenly. And you can adjust how much comes out. You can also direct the salt away from things you don't want salted. It even has a foldable handle for storage.👍👍

thats like we do with schools long sidewalks but were lucky use the truck and salter and drive along the long the sidewalks with the spinner on wich makes it easy then by hand

I'm not in that kind of business of snow removal but it seems like if you would use a spreader of some sort on the side walks instead of throwing it out like chicken feed you would use less salt. In your videos there is like highly condensed spots of salt that are not evenly spread out on the sidewalks.

Its a time thing. Bucket/chicken method is faster. A bucket also takes up less space in the truck.

GOOOD MORNING . !! up here in JAMESTOWN ny we got maybe 4-6 inch so far street out front is slick 4 sure almost everyone has not made it passed my house .{{ WHICH iam the corner house up from the corner about 150 feet from corner . ya it is a little bit of a grade enough so evan front wheel drive do not make it far . evan the mail delivery vehicle was hung up . and we r do 4 more lake effect to come along with a general snow fall that will blow over u there in ohio soon

Been there done that, spreaders don't work well with ice melt products. They have used them in the past

If the sidewalks are frozen over, the wheels (usually a hard plastic) do not grip at all which doesn't drop/throw salt.

Good vids. When doing sidewalks, I used to do it like that, but hated having salt all over my hands. I cut a windshield washer fluid bottle in half and use that as a scooper now.

With all that Salting u guys have to do and bucks u have to fill up from the salt spreader from the truck have u ever thought of using a Fertalizer Spreader to cast the Ice melt out better then putting patches here and thier on the sidewalks ect or is it just too much to lug a Fertalizer Spreader around in the back seat of ur truck and ect….? The walk behind version is what I thought then the handheld ect…. Anyhow just thought it might help u in ur guys job…
