Mathews bows are cheaper, but the accessories are about 2x more!

You have to give the nod to the Lift. It's lighter, faster, quieter, and costs a lot less. You have to be really sensitive to the cold to say it's worth choosing the RX8U

My 2013 bow specs are 35" ATA, 340 fps, 6.25" brace height, & 4.5 pounds. After 11 seasons, I wouldn't change one thing about it. I like the draw cycle, solid backwall, ease of tuning, quietness, & accuracy. I shot a Mathews Signature (41" ATA, 295 fps, 7.25" brace height, & 3.5 pounds) for 17 seasons before upgrading to my current bow, which is not a Mathews. I would feel foolish buying a new bow today. Spec-wise, bows have changed very little the past 10+ years, & compound bows used to be lighter!

Nice job, very diplomatic approach. After watching your video about the hoyt I knew you loved the draw cycle and I honestly thought that you would have picked it...thats why I know your honest about your reviews. The nice thing about Mathews is you can buy parts for just about any of there bows, Hoyt only supports there bows for 4 years. I'm sure parts are can be had but not as easy as a Mathews. I'm in the buy a new bow every year cycle and have always went with the taller risers but i walked out with the 29.5 Lift this year. It's light smooth and fast. 28dl at 70lbs with a 476 grain arrow is at 276 fps....and my shoulder doesn't hurt shooting it.

Die hard Hoyt guy for year wife got me a Lift 33 for Christmas glad she did. I really feel like Hoyt has tried to copy Mathews the last few years and the Mathews just shot so nice

Solid review. True the cost difference is significant. I personally think the draw cycle on the Hoyt is MUCH smoother than the Mathews. Totally expected though because the Mathews cams are more aggressive (and therefore faster). The Mathews has a much harsher 'dump' into the backwall, you can see it when you draw... Both incredible bows can't go wrong with either one.

Both nice bows but the price of the Hoyt would drive me to the Lift 33. Nice job on the review by the way!!

Personally just put an RX8 Ultra on order after trying both the lift and ultra. The smooth draw cycle sold me, thought the matthews lift was a little “jumpy” in the draw cycle. Essentially it felt almost harder to draw the bow back the farther you got into the cycle. Brother purchased the lift the same day, he purchased mainly matthew accessories and I purchased mainly hoyt and the price difference dropped any where from $75-150 Definetly couldnt go wrong with either.

Appreciate the video…well done! Myself I currently own a mathews V3X and don’t see anything making me feel I need to change out of any of the newer bows… If I did I would go with the Mathews lift for a few reasons and one being the price of the Hoyt carbon….cha Ching…both are spendy but why spend more on a carbon bow that’s lighter than the aluminum bow… Both are great bows so a guy can’t go wrong as both are also made by very great companies…. Great review of the bows from Korbins archery! Thumbs up on the video

With the price, weight, speed, and sound difference I would choose the lift, the appeal is also better in my opinion. Hoyts weird back handle thing has never made me leap to grab one

If Mathews would get real with the accessories and grip... they'd be the easy winner. Very good review

If I had gone in blind folded and shot the flagship bows from Mathews, Hoyt and Bow Tech I would have walked out with the Bow Tech. Just a super super smooth draw. There were other factors though that had me walking out with a Lift 29.5. The big one was speed. I’m just now taking archery seriously and have fallen in love with it again so my draw weight is not what it was in my 20’s so I wanted the extra speed at a lower draw weight. Not sure if I’ll ever make it to the 80 lb mods but uncle Ted puts them down with a 50 pound draw 😂 I hope to be shooting 65 comfortably while sitting by next season.

I don't think there was a bad bow released this year. There is something for everybody out there this year. Short bows, fast bows, long brace heights, good brace heights, aluminum, carbon, etc. It's a good time to be a bowhunter. I feel like Hoyt and Mathews really did an excellent job, but so did Elite with the Ethos and Bowtech with the Core SR. Lift 33 for the win though in 2024.

I think Hoyt has better finishes and draw cycle! However Mathews is trying to entice my inner speed demon over to the dark side. But at the end of the day people have to ask themselves what’s more comfortable. And you nailed it on the head with your opinion about the Hoyt it’s definitely more comfortable.

Can you compare the trx 34 vs the lift 29.5 @75 #

Always been a Mathews guy, but this year they struggle alot with delivery time... I'm a lefty and I've been told by my rep there would be a 3 to 5 months lead time to get my hand on a Lift 29.5... plus they still use their Engage grip even if nobody seems to like it. And their accessories are cool but they cost twice as much. Giving Hoyt a chance this year, got an Rx8 on order🤷🏻

Good review, both are very nice bows both are good as each other and witch one suits your hand the best ‘ both bows are winners’ it’s a personal choice what brand of bow you want to shoot and suits you

I shot these two bows today thinking (being a Mathews guy) that I’d leave with the lift. Nope. Hoyt’s draw cycle this year left Mathews in 2012. Literally 70lbs feels like 60lbs.

I have vxr, p4, Rx5 U and Rx7 U. Mathews looks cool every year, but I am just more accurate by Hoyt.I don’t know why.

I think we are all that way. We just shoot a certain bow better. It might be mental or it might be science. Either way it’s just how we are 🤘

I shot the lift 29.5 and the alpha x 30 at 70lbs 28.5 draw and the alpha x had a lot better draw, the lift felt like an 80lb Bow right before it rolled into the back wall. Both very good bows though.

Do you guys know if Mathews still have the big cam leans when it’s full draw

Im new to archery . I wanna go hog hunting this season so i got my self a budget compound bow on amazon . Now im hooked and want to buy something better. I have the sanlida X8 . I like the Mathews look . Dont realy like the sort of plastic feel of the Hoyt. It is light. Being a big guy i think i would go with the Mathews. But thinking about being inside a blind with a large bow may be awkward. Some one help me make up my mind 😂
