Thanks for being so transparent about the reality of trying to save but also upkeep things! That was definitely encouraging 😅🙏😊

I so totally relate to having random mini disasters happening that make financial goals such a yoyo to reach! I have had a bunch of issues with my car since the end of August and my boyfriend and I are having to replace our kitchen floor because our fridge had a leak underneath the floor and I am PRAYING this will be the last issue

Hi Emma! I know I say this every video. . .but I wish I knew you in “real life”. You are the perfect friend. So real and honest. I love your reset videos. It has inspired me to do the same. ~ You are a light in this often dark world.

12:19 I went to my library the other day to get Love and Other Words and I was so bummed they didn’t have it! Since then though I’ve read the Soulmate Equation and Something Wilder by Christina Lauren and both have been awesome! Highly recommend 💕 The Soulmate Equation was my fave out of the two 😊

I work part time currently at a school while going to school for my masters. Sometimes I get asked to sub in the morning or during extended care. A few years ago, I would have said yes to every single time someone asked me to sub but I also remember that I chose to work part time for a reason. I've slowly learned (and still learning) to create boundaries. I don't need to be exhausted. My work won't think any less of me if I say no to subbing even if I don't have an elaborate reason and my only reason is "I'm tired and I don't want to." 😁

I am flunking being slow to speak!! So much stuff going on now that it is so hard. However, if I only tame my tongue when things are easy, that isn’t much of an accomplishment. Right there with you!

So funny you said you are thinking only sub two days a week as that was what I was going to suggest. As a retired teacher, this is my second year to tutor at school two afternoons a week. That amount seems perfect to me. You are still a great mom to be away two days a week and yet stay involved in a career you may go back to one day. I would have majorly panicked about that water situation. It is frustrating to be trying to save and these things happen, yet I always just say thank you Lord that I was able to afford to take care of the problem. I also love fall so much and am excited. Always enjoy your videos and look forward to them.

Yessss. My life goal is to tame my tongue. I really see how it affects the people around me. I find its worse if im flustered, in a hurry or not focusing on those around me vs on myself. Its been more front and center lately. I want to learn to be my family and friends cheerleader and not their coach or opponent. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for your continued KZbin videos. I am a full time teacher of thirty years and still teaching! I love this job but it is all consuming. I do all my medical appointments in the summer because subs are so hard to get. I have an important appointment this week and I am on my sixth sub! This was the only appointment I was unable to do through the summer. Emma, thanks for sharing your Christian heart. You are a bright light to all of us here. 🙏

As a full time working teacher, I pick up every single day just before dinner, and maybe an hour or so every weekend day! Works great. The BIG hack is: also clean when its not SUPER dirty yet. Staying ahead is the best change I have made this school year😊

I am with you on needing to tame my tongue. Definitely an area I have been convicted in recently. I also need to be more intentional with my Bible reading and actually taking time to listen/pray not just rush through the reading. ❤

As a mom of now teens, I can attest that these years with your baby girl truly pass in the blink of an eye so protect your time if it feels right to you. You are doing an important job at home with her. It’s God’s work and it is priceless ❤

I always love your reset videos. You are so inspiring... My goal for October is low. I have a lot going on, so my goals are to go swimming at least once this month, I would like it to be weekly, but once this month will be an achievement. And then I would like work on decluttering my bedroom. I could set lots of goals and be active and busy all day every day, but as I said, lots going on so I am just being kind to myself this month.

We have reached fall break in my district, and I am SOOOO ready for it! I am exhausted! We changed to a different school schedule this year, and it has been an adjustment, but the upside is that I get 2 weeks off after the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd quarters. Gotta find blessings...even when things seems hectic. Also, thank you for inspiring our household to start using Factor. It is football season, so my husband's coaching job is in FULL SWING! It has saved this mama on many nights! And on the subject of dry shampoo, I recently switched from Bastiste because it just was not it anymore (I have very thick and oily roots), and I found this dry shampoo call FoxyBae. So good! Not sure if it fits with every hair type, but my thick-haired girls out there might want to try. Sorry for the rambling comment. Mom brain is real, and teacher brain is real. Having them both is just a basket of goodies!

I love you & your videos so much! I watch every week and love your content. I’m not saying this with any mean intention whatsoever but I can’t help but feel a little down when I watch your videos and you talk about being able to stay home and even with subbing and choosing when you get to work you still feel like it makes you feel disconnected. Some of us have to work and so I feel bad about myself as a mom and feel like a disconnected mom. You are very lucky to stay home and not feel consequences from staying home. I wish that was the same for me. I still love you and your videos and I know you don’t mean any of it with any kind of intention behind it. Just sharing my feelings!
