The nice thing about running distance like half or full marathons is that it uses more of the slow twitch muscles instead of the fast twitch muscles like your basketball sprints did. You can take it slow and chill. I have run 13 half marathons and 2 full marathons and they’re so empowering and fun ❤❤

If you walk with this outward stance (some call it duck feet) it can be a sign of some muscle tightness/weakness in your lower body. I used to do the same thing, but i worked out specific muscles and became much more flexible in my lower body, and so it corrected itself. This is not to say you NEED to change it, but just throwing the possibility out there. Not a "diagnosis" either, just speaking from my experience. Looks like you have this outward gait/ duck feet, and if that's the case there are several potential causes.
