Be very careful with welding the engine mount strengthner on. Word on the street is you can easily bend the hole frame with this kind of job. Always put it in a frame jig when welding the strengthner!

It's absolutely no problem because the tube is so short. I've done it on all my Lambrettas after having one fail.

@@kickbackgarage I had it done on my Series 2 in October at RLC. Micky told me that you have to be very careful. The engine mount is an anker point for the whole frame. Therefore if you weld too hot and frame is not in a jig it can bend.
