Exciting looking project Rob! I’ve built my 61 S2 TV175 and now I’m onto my next - a 69 Bonneville t120r desert sled! Good luck with her!

I have being off KZbin a while but looking forward to this build, I just stripped my T120 low mileage clean engine and the sludge trap was nearly full! good luck with the build.

@@kickbackgarage Sorry Rob, I have done a few of these engines over the years and it never fails to shock me how gunged up the trap gets even on clean looking engines, I think one of the problems is I have known people strip them down to the crank and put new mains in, but not tackle the sludge trap because they are worried about getting the screw cover off and then pulling the trap out without damaging the crank, but I suppose that one might be okay!

Many moons ago I was a maintenance man in a factory and the bosses brother use to do up old 60s motorbikes spend a fortune on them and usually sell for a loss, anyway to cut a long story short,he done up a triumph track master, which I think was a Harley engine in a triumph frame and running gear, only one I’ve ever seen,so that too was a scrambler type triumph type bike
