I feed some stray cats and they're so cute when they bring me their kittens. There was a little orange runt of the litter that didn't make it past 12 weeks. All the strays took turns laying with it when it was sick, and before I could get any help it passed. Made me so sad but I had to admire their family unit.

I really feel for you guys, I have lost many pets and other animals, but pet or not I wanted to save them all and I ended up loving all of them. I guess the only thing I can say is that it sucks I am giving you guys a virtual hug and you have my support.

mr. gary.. at all ur deer blinds u can put out brown salt blocks to help the deer visit the spot more often and from time to time u can add feed to them blocks. i use dry molassasis on my salt block sights with corn.. it bring the deer in often..

So sorry to hear this news😢. I was so hopeful. ❤ you guy’s. We know you did all you could. Coghill farms on here keeps them separate but lets them see each other through the fence. Homesteading is difficult. Growing up on a 100 acre farm & learning about loss was difficult but valuable. I lost a piglet after a month he froze & I was 13🙏🙏🙏Blessing’s

All is so so beautiful. I love it and think of the Wind in the z trees as they are dancing in the beautiful so very colourful garments and they are having a great time before the time when they have to sleep through the Wintertime until they wake up again in Spring. I write Poetry sometimes and I have a lot about the Seasons and what I think they and what they do including all the nature that is a part of it. Thinking and enjoying the Seasons is such a Wonderful feeling. Keep enjoying to its fullest.

I'm totally confident that your true followers know that you all take excellent care of your animals. I am so sorry for the bad luck you've had with the rabbits and now with Ellie Mae. I know you did your best for her. As you were walking, I did notice something and I would like to make a suggestion. This cement mixer was not covered and I know you won't be using it for a while. Perhaps maybe it would be a good idea to cover it for winter. Just a suggestion!

I’m sorry about Ellie May. I had a doe that prolapsed while kidding and the vet told me that it is very hard to pull them through. My doe made it, I gave her to a friend because I didn’t want her bred again because it could happen again. My doe survived, the vet had to anethesize because she kept pushing her uterus out before he sewed her vulva up. She survived and took care of her twins. Actually, the vet gave her less than a 50 percent of survival. She was a full size registered French Alpine goat. Don’t beat yourself up, goats will give up and die on you in spite of how hard you try to save her.

Sorry for your loss. You know I had a younger lamb that went through some things. I gave her shots, healing creams for days. She seemed to be better, and then she passed on me. It's not easy, but you and I both know we did everything we could. It's not your fault. Plus, we must remember it all part of homesteading. Thanks for taking us on that beautiful walk. It’s September,time to watch for snakes.. they’re are shedding their skin and are looking for places to hibernate.. snakes shed several times a year as they grow.. during the shed, their vision is impaired as the skin passes over their head.. more likely to strike out at movement.. I’m sorry about Ellie Mae..you did everything you could for her..she may have been septic from infection from the type injuries she had..

where you weed eated thats a good place for a temp pasture for the goats under the power lines, thed tear the woods and pasture up and its free food for them , just walk them up on a leash to fence. put goats in premeir fence wait 4 days move fence down and repeat. as fence is temporary no prob with power company. at night just walk them back to close to house pen

The older ive gotten the more i have come to feel i care so much more for animals than i do the large majority of humans....Far as im concerned being the proof is in he puddin, humans are far and away this planets biggest blight....I wish animals could live as long as humans...I wish humans showed the heart and soul animals do as you dont find much more genuine than that ....I sincerely dread the day when i have to deal with the loss of mine....I only hope that i outlive them all so they dont ever think i abandoned them....I have their welfare covered if that happens but i dont want them left to wonder....

watch goats on the go and they use them to clear weeds from pastures and clear underbrush from woods. they clear up to about 6 ft leaves saplings poison ivy shrubs, opens up shots for hunting

Hi Guys, to be honest I would have been surprised if Ellie May had survived. You did all you could. Sadly these things happen. Ive had goats for years and when there are dogs around you have to be careful of leaving multiple dogs with goats. Dogs have a pack mentality. Sorry you had to experience that sad loss.
