Life insurance is so important. When I was 10 my Dad died suddenly at 41. My mom was left with 3 daughters to raise (15, 13, 10) but because of his life insurance, she was able to pay off the house (which she still lives in today, 25 years later) and it was such a massive weight of worry off her shoulders. I can't imagine how difficult things would've been otherwise. Anyway, the build is coming along so well!

Those drywall guys looks like twins! 😅😅I have those big sheets in my ceiling in the living room as well. Remember, in bigger rooms you will see the seams between the drywallsheets, due to light from the windows. If I had known, I wouldnt only be plastering the seams, but had a thick coat of plaster on the whole ceiling, I am thinking about doing it now, because I hate the shadows in my otherwise beautiful living room.

OK. I’m hoping the high ceilings are going to be tongue and groove pine wood. Installed by your framing crew of previous fame. Stained by you when every you get to it. Framing crew will also do the porches. When you and Jamie finish this home, you can start an internet consulting firm to refer quality minded subcontractors. You have found amazing and very profession ones. Taking time and checking out recommendations is so rewarding toward the end project. Fewer regrets. Housing market is totally crazy right now (spring 2021). Lumber and labor is over the rainbow!
