Firstly, Happy Birthday Alison! 36 is still young, I’m 45, and there are days when I feel 15! Secondly, and I’m sure I’m not the only one here who feels this way, but we aren’t here just for the travel content, we’re totally invested in you both, the good, the bad and the ugly. Please don’t feel like you can’t share the hard things if you need or want to, life isn’t all rainbows and butterflies. I’m sending you both hugs, losing people we love is the hardest part of life, but just remember, you are not alone❤

I've said before that one of the many things I love about this channel is your level of authenticity, and this is no exception. I'm sorry that you guys are having to go through that but I'm glad you two have each other for support. I'm a big advocate of mental health and self care. So I'm glad you did take an opportunity to not "put on a smile" just for the sake of filming. Your content is special because of you two and all of the things that make you, you. I'll keep you both and your families in my prayers.

God Bless, Allison I lost my mom this past August and I cry daily because I miss her. When you lose someone that important in your life it takes time and I really don't have any advice than to cry it out but imagine keeping a journal and making videos would help. I keep busy out of necessity so that helps me get through each day. Thanks for sharing your wonderful travels with us. Maybe 2023 can be a year of joy and peace and celebration of lives of the people we love and can't be with any longer. Peace out!

Dear Allison and Eric, while you have no obligation to share the personal moments in your life, thank you for letting us know so we can offer you whatever support we can no matter how inadequate it is. I’m so sorry Allison. Losing a parent, no matter how sudden or expected, is always an incredibly painful hardship in our lives. Please be gentle with yourself and with any expectations you might have for what you think you should do or how you should be. Grief has no expiration date and will last as long as it lasts. The more you love, the more you grieve. My thoughts and my prayers, genuinely, will be with you. And Eric, I’m so sorry for such a hard diagnosis for a loved one. However long the time, I hope along with the sadness there’s time to make more memories with your family member to hold into the future. Thank you both for keeping it real.

@@Theendlessadventure You are a wonderful couple and have enjoyed your channel for several years now. Appreciate you sharing this personal news with us. I lived in Denver for six years. Summers hiking in mountains were great, and if you like skiing Winters are too. I still think building an resort of some type that can generate income back near your Tennessee home which is more central to population and not as extreme climate would be more advantageous.

I think it’s great to be reminded that life on KZbin is not always made up of rainbows and puppy dogs… I think at times we often forgets that content creators have lives outside of a 15 minute window that we see every week. Thank you for coming into our home every week and sharing your lives with us and continuing to do what you do to help people like me get away from the chaos of the world and enjoy some good hearted content for a change. My dad died when I was 38, and I remember not wanting to suck up all the oxygen in the room with negativity, but over time I discovered that when we share, we give others their "you are not alone moment", so my heart absolutely went out to you when I heard your story. I think the most powerful quote about this is probably "you can't have light without a dark to stick it in" don't be afraid to layer in your real lives, especially since your adventures bring so many people - including me - so much joy and amusement.

We all suffer loss of loved ones at some point in our lives. It is natural to feel the loss. Do not ever feel the need to hide those feelings. I do not post videos so I do not know what that experience is like. I think some people who do post videos online, maybe more than that, feel the need to 'please their audience' no matter what. Well, that's just ridiculous. We are all humans. You cannot hide that, even in videos. So, my advice to you is if you wish to share you life online, share all of it.

Oh Alison, I'm so sorry. Losing a parent is absolutely the hardest thing. My dad passed away December 28, 2021, and it still feels like I'm living in a world with a green sky. My thoughts are with you both.

Nearly all your views are caring, warm-hearted people just like you guys. Everyone will be more than understanding if you have something going on. I hope you find lots of things that will make you smile this coming year. And remember, you're only human, so there is nothing wrong with a good cry from time to time 🙂

As a follower of Endless Adventure from the beginning, I feel honored that you would share your personal heartbreaks with us. Life isn't always fun and games. For those of us avid followers you are part of our life too. My prayers and condolences are with you through these tough days. I know what it is like to lose a mother and father after a long illness with cancer. It is hard and my heart breaks for both of you as you go through this. You are not alone. 😥

Thank you guys for sharing and I’m sorry Allison. It does mean a lot that you share what life really entails. My dad passed away in late 2022 after a long battle with terminal colon cancer. Thank you for mentioning that people are alone. It’s also comforting to know there are others out there dealing with very sucky situations.

I’m so sorry about having such a big weight hanging over you both this year. I lost my dad after a long illness in 2019. Whether it’s sudden or expected, it doesn’t make it easier. I appreciate you both keeping it light, not for our sakes but by your own choice for your sakes. Feel free to share or not share your personal details. I appreciate how you keep it real too. I know your goal was to visit 50 states in one year. If you make it, great. If you don’t, you def have a good reason. Lots going on. I think you made a wise choice.
