Heads up! We bought a new ? Rebuild engine, not long after the Big C. , please watch the heat gage, and everything else. There’s a lot of problems with them , because people didn’t want to go back to work then and there’s a lot wrong with them. We had to have ours replaced again. So keep close eye out, and make sure you have good warranty. We’re good now second time with a crate engine. Safe travels and best wishes from two show mes to two more show mes. lol .

It was the shop they are at now…hopefully they got some kind of discount or refund for that original work. The shop seems like a pain to me. They missed stuff with the first job, Clementine got hit by a truck while on the lot, and now seemingly has a critter living it bc it’s left open on an outdoor lot. I hope the shop is giving them a good warranty at least.

@@handyj5700 yes I know…but without a parts list the next tech that works on it won’t know what other parts were changed(what year engine, what computer is controling the fuel injection)…it’s not like they can look at the tag and get that information….whenever you modify a vehicle it’s always a good idea to keep a parts list for the next person who works on it (or owns it for that matter)

You are very patient, that garage is taking so long to complete the work, they are taking the piss, and as for not covering the engine compartment to stop animals getting inside, that just shows they have zero customer consideration, they need a good enima to sort them out.

Wasn’t there some kind of contract that said something like “Work to be completed within 6 month period”? They’re only putting a new engine in, should take a week at max. I wouldn’t trust them to organise a piss-up in a brewery having watched this. I would suggest finding someone who knows what they are doing, because these people are just taking you for a ride. You need to sue them for damages to the RV also. It’s terrible.

I can't fathom having a car or camper at the mechanic for that long. It surprised me when the Beans had theirs at the mechanics for that long as well. Here in the Netherlands you make an appointment and they usually have the work done the following day or like three days at a maximum giving you a replacement vehicle in the meantime. What 's up with mechanics in the states that it would take that long?

I would totally stress about the animal issue in Clementine. Can't the garage guys just put the cover over when they aren't working? They don't need to screw it in, just place it over to stop animals going in around the motor. If the critters go up on your bed and pee on the mattress 😭...and in a few months they can do so much more damage to the back.

First let me say my wife and I have loved watching all your videos for many years traveling and we both hope the best for both of you. However we both feel you are being played by the company that has been working on Clementine considering how long it has taken and yet still is not working to standards. I just hope they are not charging you more to install this new engine as they should have been held by law to make certain the last engine worked. Hate to say it but I would not doubt if you have to bring in an Attorney to resolve this for Clementine which is so sad as we all are hoping to still see her back on the roads. No matter what, we wish the best for both of you....

FYI, they looked like Piebald Deer which have blotches of white coloration on portions of their hide that are usually dark in color. Do not confuse them with Albino Deer. Don't worry, they're not sick, it's a genetic thing.
