Wow, we bet that was a beautiful hike! How long did it take you?
@Rm6.23 Жыл бұрын
@@SailingOneLife we hiked it in 2 days, camping at the bottom of the canyon by the Colorado river. My wife dropped us off on the north rim and we had told her when we planned to be emerging at the south rim the following day. Because we’d set these time limits we were limited on time to enjoy. I’d do it over 3 days next time, taking 2 days to do the 9 miles up which was pretty steep and strenuous and then we drove 5 hours home to Vegas that evening. Long day. This was my first time seeing the canyon and I naively thought the Grand Canyon was a big wide open vast canyon. I was delightfully surprised to find it was much much more than that.

Greeting's from Florida. New subscriber here and really enjoying all the great content!! I have noticed you are flying your drone in some extremely remote locations such as this..I'm getting ready to take my drone to some very remote locations and had a question, how are you getting your wifi to connect the controller to the drone, are you using a personal hot spot from your cell phone? Any information would be appreciated...Keep up the great work and enjoy your amazing journey!!
@SailingOneLife2 жыл бұрын
Hi Bill! Thanks for the kind words! You don't actually need an internet connection (at least with DJI drones.) In fact, if cell signal is spotty, it's usually best to just turn it off before powering everything on. Otherwise, it may detect a required update but not have enough signal to download the update, leaving you stuck and unable to fly. Flying in remote places, over jungle and over water, expect to lose a drone every now and then. I've had 4 crash into water (and counting). Cheers!

Remember that this video shows 33 minutes out of the 5,760 minutes of this trek. So you're literally seeing less than 1% of our lives. The truth is there are times when one of us is staying positive and the other is struggling. And it switches and goes both ways. We wouldn't have made it this far without each other.
