The actors were all amazing, the sponsorship was genius, playing to everybody's strengths, including the muffin scene, which was clearly scripted, but EVERYONE wanted that script to play out. Special shoutouts go to the person whose job involved puncturing a bunch of holes into the photo of RT, to make it look like an accurately frequently used dartboard with his face. Beautiful attention to detail, and poking that many holes is a nightmare, so I do hope others appreciate the effort taken.

An elf Warlock necromancer (I forgot the class and name) and my good friend's character an elf urban bounty hunter ranger sent to the city of sin and sand, Khudon. They were hired by an oligarch named Johan Streyer, one of the richest people in the city state. Khudon is and independent city state outside the jurisdiction of the neighboring empire, who had outlawed gambling. Khudon didn't, and became a wealthy gambling city, of not a bit corrupt. We find our party in a carriage along the road to Khudon. They see braziers in the distance. I then had to explain to one of my players what a brazier is. They were told that it was a gambling house outside of Khudon (many items would be extremely expensive, so they could blackmail the owner and get money. They didn't do it and then they struggled to buy stuff). They ignored the building and went on to Khudon. They were in the bazaar at the gate, where they could get some gear (I didn't reveal any of the map, so they couldn't really plan but rather would have to act on a dime. This, sadly, caused them to spend money on useless shit). The necromancer tried to convince a caravaneer to sell him his armor. This took way too long and he didn't get it. Now, at the gate, they get halted by a guard trying to scam then. The necromancer then minimized his spear. Twice. They let them in. "As you enter the main square you are bombarded with lights and sounds from every direction. Every lamp has stained glass, and every brick on the plaza is seemingly hand made and artisan crafted. To the southeast you see a market-" *Cue half an hour of shopping and a theft* They finally make it to Johan's casino. Then they gamble and get a drink called "the vampire's mask" which was essentially red wine with red berries a gelatin that looks like flesh with a vamp bite in them. I thought it was cool. Then they thought the city was full of vamps (it wasn't supposed to be but I threw in a vamp later). They got to Johan who have him their objective. Kill his rival, Safaar Kabaha. To complicate things, I threw in a deadly body guard who was rumored to have ripped someone's spine out, Vatja, a big woman with muscle and wit who arrived a week before the players. They decided to turn her to their side. They narrowed i the location of her house down to two tenements, one that looked like it was for wealthy people and the other more frugal. The party then split up, one going to the expensive, the others going cheap. Vatja was in the frugal one, and they eventually convinced her to leave the city, as she was intending to do so after she sent enough money to her family to pay their debts. What did the one player find? Well, it seemed like a tall, muscular woman though the distorted glass, as he was scaling the building, but the desert sun messed up the glass, so it wasn't actually her. I was swapping the perspective of the scenes, leaving things on small cliffhangers, so this player (this is the urban bounty hunter by the way) didn't do any more investigation and just said "yup that's her" and went to tell the others. It was a fat, old dwarf that he found. Apparently they found that funny. So they finally get to Safaar's mansion, as he didn't live in a casino, but he still gambled a lot. His place was under armed guard, so they waited for him to walk out. He did. with 8 guards. The necromancer then did some magic shit and got the guards to fight each other. Safaar ran from the chaos, and they murdered him. They then hid his body in the oasis the city was built on, weighed him down so he could never be found, and went back to Johan's casino. Now, I'm going to let you guess how they overthrew the government and then I'll give you the real answer.
