@@lori1508there’s no need to be facetious! I’ll enlighten you a bit more by explaining the bit the OP missed out on… “Born on dirty ground, ie a muddy pasture” it’s called “joint ill” caused by bacteria entering through the newly severed umbilical cord it’s easily prevented by dipping their umbilical cord in iodine even if born in a stall with fresh clean shavings. It can be treated with antibiotics.

It seems to me that an injury as such would indicate the need for an x-ray to see if it is a bone or tissue injury. Early detection could keep this animal from possibly suffering from a lifelong ailment. A simple naproxen treatment would reduce the swelling and cost nearly nothing. May be about $.35.

And behind the lil church there was a wild strawberry patch. I live in the country and we were dirty roads and creek beds climbing trees us kids would be gone from sun up till sun down. Parents didn't have to worry to much back then. I wish I could step back in time about 50 years. I know this young man is doing it right look what his kids get to do and the joy they will experience in this cruel world. Today's world is cruel. @lindahuffman6329

There are chiropractors that fix joints like is apparent on your baby goat. Also, a single cortisone injection has been used in baby cows to treat similar post birth problems that may have occurred during birth or soon thereafter as when Mama steps on the newborn. It's not right to sentence the baby to a twisted back and a limp throughout their life if a chiropractor can manipulate the joint back into alignment. I've seen it done on my Dad's farm, and i hope you'll consider my thoughts for your farm.

A vet could give your kid a shot of anti inflammatories. If that joint stays like that for too long it will become permanently set and there will be no hope of normal use. As for the black baby, it may just be the angle of filming, but something looks off with it's jaw. Have you checked to see it's hard palate is joined and it's mouth is functional. Thanks for taking us along on the journey of the goats.

The baby goats are so cute 🥰 There are a lot of mushrooms and you and Houston were having a blast at finding them that you could have stayed longer except for the fact that they're is a ballgame and you were probably be late and that would not be very good for you 😁 Sending prayers and hugs 💓 God bless the family 💖🙏🙏🙏🙏 Hope they won the ballgame 😀😁

I remember my dad telling about finding a red moral he had to cut the side of it off to fit in a 25 lp flour sack. The biggest one I ever found was the size of a mans fist God bless you and yours.🙏😇🙈🙉🙊🇺🇲🖖 Live long and prosper

Here in Montana I gauge the mushroom 🍄 and asparagus hunting by when the rural Fire Department does the ditch and land burns. Week or two after they start popping up like crazy. I get lost for hours “hunting treasures”. Always been a favorite time for me. Right up to when I hear the first rattler or experience the unforgettable feeling under foot from stepping on a snake. That’s the moment seasons over for me. I get the “yuck” feeling and I’m good for the year. 😂
