@@NipponKiwi At the time I was employed by a company who was contracted to a large food producing plant. We were considered essential workers so were able to continue working through the initial lockdown. The senior management of the contract company of my region were against the mandates and NEVER threatened us or tried to force us in any way to be vaccinated, however, before rat testing was available, we were required to do daily temp testing and while on site we had to wear masks. The plant controlled our movements making us only walk through one door and exit another. Stand 2 meters apart etc. It felt like we were sheep being drafted. People employed by the plant were streaming through to the Occupational Nurse to recieve their vaccinations, yet we were hearing people say that many departments within the plant were struggling because lots of employees were catching covid. I NEVER CAUGHT COVID DURING THE FIRST WAVE. Our team were working on site for quite some time before one or two got the virus and had to stay home. Then one day I got the call from senior management of my employ who advised that the plant were requiring all people working at site to be vaccinated. Any who were not could not enter site. This food producing company is the only site my employers had a contract with in our region, so they were unable to provide me with any other employment elsewhere. I understood the position they were in. I even understood the position the Plant CEO's were in. Unfortunately they had to give me my 2 weeks notice because I had done my research and I could not, for the life of me, have that crap injected into my body. They understood this. They had read and watched similar information and were shaking their heads at the Governments response to it all. It got to the last two days of my notice and the Plant lifted the mandates and I was able to continue with my employment. It turns out the Plant lifted the mandates because they were facing the loss of over 500 experienced employees, at multiple sites, who were refusing to be vaccinated. Moral of the story - UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL

I would like to see a real honest inquiry into the handling of the pandemic in NZ. An inquiry that results in some people being held to legal account.
@KevinPhilpott-de5inАй бұрын
It will be very interesting if a second inquiry will reveal the extent of damage done after the recent release of the First Inquiry' just out' that states that mandate measures taken were 'reasonable' and the oxymoron that 'a significant minority' suffered injury. One only needs to listen to world reknown acturary & numbers expert Ed Dowd and his book ' Cause Unknown' after he was engaged by American life & health Insurers regarding the number of claims of deaths and injuries from these gene therapies. And still the elephant continues to stampede throughout the halls of power. An appalling indictment of the human race. Then again any admission of wrong doing and the liability claim costs would likely bankrupt NZ.

One of the main things that we should not allow is breaches of the Bill of Rights, which protects New Zealanders' individual freedoms. What Labour did, like so many followers of the UN, was to disregard the individual in favor of what was supposedly best for the group. However, what they did was not best for the group, as it turns out. In the world, there were only two countries that didn't follow like sheep: Sweden and Pakistan, as far as I know, along with various states in America, such as Florida. Jacinda's attempt to shut down freedom of speech, and control the media with her "one source of information" rhetoric, was disgusting. The mainstream media were also complicit, and their behaviour-both current and past-needs to be investigated to prevent the same thing from happening again. They provided no discussion on the topic and literally fed New Zealanders fear propaganda daily. The government's attempt to segregate and victimize people who did not get the vaccine was also disgraceful. Locking down Auckland until it reached a certain vaccination percentage was another beyond-belief draconian move by a Labour government that looked more and more like a totalitarian dictatorship than a democratic representative of the people. Winston, out of all the politicians, was the only one who met with people at that time, so kudos to him and NZ First.

Then one day I drove threw a group of people demonstrating against the mandate and I looked at all the faces they were white, looked to be of retirement age , older then me and middle class , very well organised and well behaved . I then started questioning myself and what I was being told by Miss Ardern and Co . Bloomfield denied me an exemption from having my 2nd shot, even though my GP completed all the relevant paperwork. Bloomfield still denied this. Jacinda, Hipkins and Bloomfield all need to be held to account.
@verityhunt2913Ай бұрын
I've heard many stories like this. Someone I know in NZ had a bad reaction from the first vax she was mandated to have in order to keep her job. When she asked for an exemption it was denied and she was told she had to have it, but they would have a crash cart ready in case she collapsed. She had the second vax, and ended up having to go to hospital again because of the bad reaction. Another person I know has a history of myocarditis and was still pressured by her work to take the vax. She asked for an official exemption and it was denied. Thankfully, she managed to work from home until the mandates were dropped, so she did not take the vax. It was disgraceful what they did, and it must never be allowed to happen again.
