It has been YEARS since we’ve done a “travel vlog”…I’ll be honest, I felt a bit nervous posting this one because nowadays travel videos seem to be all about the fancy first class flights or tours of a $10,000/night hotel😂. I hope us fawning over cheap groceries and building sand castles with our family wasn’t too boring for you all…let us know what you thought, maybe we’ll have to go on another adventure with Tyler’s side of the family. As soon as I heard about the bad weather in Canada, I thought you had both picked the right time to be away. If I am going anywhere and catering for myself then I always get excited by the grocery stores because they are often different and cheaper than at home. At a couple of shots, I didn't recognize Todd at first because his smile is so enormous en one time I hardly recognized Tyler because he looked so relaxed (not to say that normally your are so sour or stressed). Thank you for taking us. It felt also like a little break. The contrast with Canada is just mind-boggling. Happy homecoming and happy Superbowl (whenever that is). I went with my family to Puerto Rico and took my parents. They flew in from Florida. We came from Oregon. There were some surprises but it really was a wonderful vacaction. It was amplified by the fact that my parents were with us. You have to grab these times, they won't necessarily come again. It's a bit difficult to give everyone the vacation that they want. I think, as you mentioned in your Air B&B, is that people can find a space to be by themselves. Too much "together" is too much.

I know you are sun worshipers, but the reason it’s so wonderful is because it’s such a change. Nothing is wonderful if it’s all the time. It’s just normal. The snow will be fantastic when you get home, well for a couple of days, then you’ll go back to remembering how great the sun felt. The place you’re at really looks amazing, a dream come true! I mean with all of the up and down stuff you've had to deal with, from the container home, to the flooding in the cottage, You needed this Beautiful vacation time. So happy y'all could get away from the cold, and just in time too. Frankly I think we need a Tyler & Todd Off-grid in Paradise series, where we get to see y'all building an off grid home in Florida or the Caribbean somewhere, and y'all can set it up as an Air BnB when y'all are in Canada during the summer. TnT the Snowbirds! I moved to Florida 12 years ago from Michigan and never regretted it. SNOW & COLD are 4-letter words in my book. It's nice to see on TV & maybe visit for a week but if I never see snow again, I'm not gonna miss it.

Having a little piece of paradise is awesome way to wind down after working really hard... I too this past week, received word that I'm being hired as the year round food service Director for a summer camp and retreat center in Ohio. A lot of words in policy and procedures, said... camp offers a "private residence" for the food service Director. And it's way better than a 10 by ten cabin in the middle of the woods, it's literally a 5 bedroom house, sun room, living room, kitchen, and a full basement. And laundry inside the residence as well. It's definitely going to be my slice of paradise, because after working all day in a kitchen... I love camp but sometimes I just want to lock the door, seal the windows, pour a glass of wine, and not share my space with seasonal camp staff members. 1 giant house, just for 1 person 😊 ❤. Hello Taylor and Tod, thanks for sharing you vacation time with us. Looks so beautiful there, so jellin, Oklahoma got 4”of snow but we are visiting in Arizona with My daughter and her family. It’s been pretty cold here at night to almost freezing temps but the days are in the 60’s. I would LOVE to vacation there in the Caribbeans and rent an Air B&B.
