My daughter was born in December of 2021 and I remember the nurse telling me “do not let anyone kiss this baby, Covid is bad right now and it is RSV season” I remember going home and not letting anyone kiss her. I was definitely that mom that held on to my baby. I don’t think you could ever be too overprotective when it comes to your own baby!

So my son was such a velcro baby and this one time an acquaintance was holding him and he was upset and crying so I reached for him and he reached for me. He was like 8 months old and the señora that was holding him was like "no youre ok youre ok" but since I was already reaching we end up playing tug of war with my son and I didnt say anything and she tried contenting him and ultimately did hand him back over but I walked away from that feeling so hurt and I cried on the way home. I think especially in our Hispanic culture it's taught that we respect our elders and dont question them, even if it's a stranger or someone you don't really know well. So that was the root of my hesitation but my husband helped me see that it is very appropriate for me to advocate as the mother. And he said something that I will never forget. "You are his voice right now and you know better than anyone else what he needs". So I learned and never hesitate anymore. You can be polite and hold a boundary. I tell that to new mommas and if I ever witness things like that happen I don't hesitate speak up.❤

Mayra since you’re going based of your cycle for birth control you should try natural cycles! It’s an app that pairs with your Apple Watch (or they send you a thermometer if you don’t have one) that goes off your cycle but also your body temperature! When you’re ovulating your body temperature is higher so it goes based off of that and it tells you whether you are clear to have sex or if you should abstain/use protection. You can use it as a birth control or family planning as well. I used it as birth control for months before we decided to try for our second baby and I loved it because it was completely natural and hormone free!

Then the baby will be very fussy plus other things then they will need a limpia. Idk things people especially in the older generation believe. 22:08 id just like to add that my 4 year old son has autism and does “flinch” (throw himself back) if I hand him something without him knowing what it is, he does not like new things and it can also be difficult to get him to eat anything that is not one of the foods that he likes, my son does not like ice cream or pasta so he will either get mad or want to get away from it
